i have not tried this mod, but i think its a good idea to somehow limit colonization by quite a bit until like 1700s. Spain should be able to easily grab mexico and peru and such, but i think its for the best if africa is limited to mainly trading posts, and the north american interior stays untouched until then, like it did irl

Can you please lock the formables so colonial nations can't use them?

They disable the ability to rename the country the way you can with regular colonial nations, which effectively means that you lose the abillity to custom-localize if you give them the land.

For some reason I can't enable this mod in the menu after subscribing to it. It shows the version number as blank, and the mod itself is grayed out. Any clue what that's about?

@NullPointer can you make it fix the Explorer bug lmao, my Muscovy game in shambles from this bug. I see you mentioned it unintentionally helps but maybe just make it so every colony gets vising on neighbors?

@Kanara absolutely! Aztec formable fix should be available on the next one, but on resources and RGOs we're currently trying to first fix the food problem in the Andes

Does this mod plan to fix some native oversights? Like how copper is useless for natives (Even though Nahua culture has a tech about them making copper tools) and the need to own all of mesoamerica to form the Aztec Empire. Changing those two things will make it much more playable

@SgtPeppersSoul in that case, NWIP should help with that - it doesn't solve the bug, but it allows colonies to naturally discover their inland bits after 1636 if they have populated enough or their frontiers

The bug, which as far as I can tell from the Paradox discord, is in vanilla since the new patch, is essentially that explorers cannot explore inland locations, ever. Something about not being able to find a suitable location from which to plan the expedition. This remains true even if you colonize right up to the edge of the area. They don't even seem to highlight correctly when hovered over, the way unexplored sea zones do.

Colonial subjects get vanilla flags when I first created them, but once I reload the save their flags are all generic.

Regarding the name of America: that's the vanilla name, not mine (unless PDX changed it since 1.0.0) - it's named like that so the colonial name is "Colony of America" and when it's an independent post-colonial empire-level republic it gets called "United States of America"

Regarding inland exploration: could you give me more details on the bug? This mod includes an extra push for inland exploration already, but it only triggers after 1636 (otherwise the Americas get colonized too quickly inland)

@Manecki Thanks! And yeah, currently we have around 1k translations of locations (out of 6k in the Americas), but some languages have more than others. Eventually we'll manage to have everything localized, but currently Portuguese and Spanish are the ones with more localized locations.

@NullPointer Okay thanks, yeah from my limited investigation it seems it's a vanilla bug which I reported on the forums but I just wanted to make sure.

One more things, is it currently correct that only some provinces are renamed? Like I have Windsor in Acadia, then there are normal native american names next to it? Or should everything be renamed?

@Manecki It adds a couple of flags for Brazil and Mexico, but other than that it should be fully compatible with EU5's logic. I've seen a few cases where the colonial subject's flag looks strange after they form a formable, but it usually solves itself once I reload the game, but colonial formables sould be working fine with UK colonies based on previous runs I had.
That might be a bug on PDX's side (if they weren't expecting both colonial nations and overlords to form new countries)

Does this mod change anything related to colonial flags? I currently investigate a bug which happened to my colonies after forming Great Britain, all of them fliiped to generic flag instead of a colonial one with my flag in the dominant quarter.
