really hope we get weapon charms for smissmas, i know valve probably wont but it would be amazing to see these, its such a cool thing for tf2 that im surprised isnt a thing already

Wait, don't be fooled! It's just a regular Stock Weapon with a stupid, cheap charm! This embodies all the awful microtransactions as the Botkillers weapons did before! [...] But its got a new charm!
God bless everyone who wrote whole essays in workshop comments :zagwow:

Regardless of how things SHOULD be, I am almost certain that this will cause Smissmas 2021 2.0 if it gets in. Not even on the basis of it being bad, but because people are so deathly afraid of reverting to that time that they'll sacrifice all dignity and decency in an effort to prevent it. I'm not saying that the people behind this should be intimidated into taking it down, I'm just saying I really hope the wider community isn't as "passionate" about this as some of the comments I've seen under other submissions.
Festivized brgr 11
I think my biggest concern with this however isn't even anything directly related to this submission, it's the absolute nuclear level ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this would kick up between the workshop and the rest of the community. There's been a rapidly increasing negative stigma towards workshoppers for the past few years that's lead to every submission being put under a microscope. Now I'm all for being critical on things people are submitting to be officially implemented into the game (trust me, I don't wanna go back to 2021 either), but it's undeniable that there's a sizable portion of the playerbase that uses the fact as leverage to be as hostile and venomous as possible toward creators.
Festivized brgr 11
That said, there are some that I definitely like, mostly the ones not shown on this submission. I like the fuzzy dice and the price tag ones, makes me wish there was one you could type a custom message onto. I also like the skull king, the smiley note, the beer bottle and the disco ball. These generally just feel more applicable and something I'd want to put on a weapon. I think these are actually a neat idea, I'm just not the biggest fan of the default roster.
Festivized brgr 11
I'm admittedly a little mixed on these. It's definitely not a bad idea in it of itself, though something does feel off. A lot of these, while definitely recognizable pieces of iconography from the game, feel a little niche in their use cases. Like I'm sure that Bonk charm will fit well on that Scattergun of yours or that Balloonicorn on that Flamethrower, but how often you think they'll be used on something like a Rocket Launcher or a Sniper Rifle? Then there are the ones that just feel weird in general, ones like the paint brush or the grandfather clock. I could be missing something with those, but some choices radiate the same energy as all the "random object on head" hats in the game.
It okay but with how buggy this game is right now, nah
get me out of detroit
No.

Just... no.

We don't need tacky weapon charms in a 1960's themed shooter.
While I like the presentation and all, I honestly hope that this concept never gets added to the game.
Candy dude 11
yawn zesty loves loli's and epsteins island, add this to game this is neat, not orginal, but still pretty alright :Pizza:
NobeOddy 11 月 7 日 下午 4:40
irate vanillaists who browse the workshop just to get mad that its not empty are failing to consider that this uses the same "slot" as festivizer and would result in less weapons being completely wrapped in glowing christmas lights in exchange for having a 1 inch figurine of a soda can
upload it on gamebanana as a mod for people who like it pls
this doesn't fit tf2 but some people like it so why not
Its funny those defending this who are intentionally ignoring what the criticism is being said, saying "a youtuber says its bad" where he never spoke a word about it, you guys do realise we can form our own opinion right?
Lots of intense hatred for something so small, so rather unnoticable unless you are the one using it. It's a near-textbook case of "I would forget about it existing until I pick up a weapon that has one on it" which in itself isn't necessarily a bad thing since the whole "oooo visual clutter rrraahhhh i am angry cause it's clutter zestyjesus said it so I say it!" argument falls on its ass like that, but I wouldn't expect this to be welcomed as 'the new festivizer' so to speak.
Stevos 11
honestly, putting little charms on my regular non-warpaint stranges sounds pretty appealing, a little something to make them feel a little more special. -but! we have SO much already, skins, festivizers.... map after map... the file size ain't getting any smaller.
regardless, best of luck
Nanos! 11
Clutter is when a tiny bit of plastic in a gun
Fps 11
Good effort, but I believe that this isn't appropriate for the game. These useless attachments on weapons are a trend. Instead, a mod featuring all of this would be better. Bloating the game, and introducing visual clutter with these charms isn't a good idea.
I don't want to see cheap toys on guns.
only one I liked is the price tag charm thing and anything else is so out of place.
at least we already had name tag and description tag that looks like price tag, but others just look like overwatch / rainbow six siege weapon charm with TF2 theme.
Just no
cool idea but a hard no
Pootsworthy 11
So-called "free-thinkers" when a transphobic TF2 Youtuber tells them to be mad and foam at the mouth anytime someone uploads to the Team Fortress 2 Steam Workshop page:
Reds94 11 月 4 日 下午 1:05
So. Much. Clutter.

We have war paints, kill streak effects, Australiums, Botkillers. Please no more clutter.

Even then, why put these on the barrels and not the bottom of the grip? Answer is more visual clutter.
this is terrible slop
Clox 11
Eric Smith, if you can hear me, please please don't add this
Nonmoth 11
no thanks
Willy Wanker 11
That's a fat NO :tomate:

funky is disappointed in you :steamsad:
ꜰʀᴏᴢᴇɴ 11 月 4 日 上午 5:56
TF:GO charms lol. The thing I'll give this credit for is that this is more charming (no pun intended) than regular Festivizers which are usually just huge eyesores for me whenever its not Christmas time.
While I'll personally wouldn't use these, I'll be surprised IF Valve even adds these considering they probably don't want to put in more effort into the game other than copy and pasting like they do with hats, maps, and war paints.
@TypeWriter they are beggining to delete negative comments and blocking users allready.
Free speech ngl.
The last thing a game "need" is weapon charms, another clutter to your character and weapons, this is completely unnecessary and useless, literally dangling keys in front of the idiots who continue to buy stuff on this game without a second thought, and watch as insufferable slop consumers are going to defend this in the comments, just to continue to proof my point.
Freeze! 11
i whant it
But this is imposible valve dont gona add this 100%
Sonar from Dispatch 11
I like botkillers more than these

Exciting new cosmetic potential. Always been fond of FPS charms and stuff.
Myahster 11
very cute
Warpaints, unusual effects, killstreak sheens and festivizers.
TF2 already has enough weapon customization and I really don't belive that we need more
Count 11
This is the kind of weapon customization I like. Festivizes are just a little too tacky, and Skins are cool, but I just prefer the regular look of a weapon. Small, but still super cool. :Emily3_Heart:

These charm designs are so cute and joyful! I love the Balloonicorn one! And the briefcase! And Miss Pauling as a figurine! And the way the spycrab grabs the chain is creative! Amazing work!
Eric Smith, if you can hear me, please please add this
