In theory, it should be. As long as this mod is below the patch in the load order.
Steam keeps giving me an old version of the Unofficial Patch meant for game version 1.12.*, and enabling it will crash my game at launch. So, I can't properly test compatibility.
You'll have to test it yourself if you can manage to get the up-to-date mod files.
That should do it. Discovered innovations should mirror the vanilla game now.
The innovations were being discovered via script, I just added them directly to the history files.
Sinophilic cultures only consist of Vietnamese and Korean by default. They also only have Champa Rice and Lacquered Armor, respectively, discovered even for 1178 by default.
I can't promise the same 3+ years of support Starmender has given their mods. My time and interests will probably drift towards other things and I'll drop the SEA and NEA maps to only maintain the Far East and Europe maps, like I did with my old Iberia map.
My first maps were put up over a year ago. They're unlisted now because this is the second time a major update has broken them. And it's personally more fun to start from scratch than to debug, especially since they've changed parts of their coding language again. Also, I lost the original mod files...
Chances are that support will end with the next mod-destroying major update and I won't be arsed to fix it.
-Moves holy sites around so that each relevant religion maintains 5 sites within the mod's scope.
-Made changes to AI's chance to become a conqueror.
5: (What I touch and Starmender doesn't)
-Removed decisions, events and effects that are Asia-specific.
-Removed histories for provinces and struggles.
Forgive my assumption, if it's incorrect, but I think you intended to post this to my Europe map. I'll give you a brief comparison between our European maps, from quickly looking at his files. There are many ways to skin this cat and I wouldn't call any of the methods wrong.
1:
-Starmender removes empire, kingdom, duchy, county, and barony titles.
( e_goryeo > k_goguryeo > d_gaeseong >c_gaeseong > b_Goryeo_Gaeseong_Gaeseong )
-I remove only counties and baronies while keeping empire, kingdom, and duchy titles intact.
(e_goryeo > k_goguryeo > d_gaeseong > c_gaeseong > b_Goryeo_Gaeseong_Gaeseong )
2:
-Starmender starts the Mongol invasion at Yekaterinburg in Volga-Ural.
-I start the Mongol invasion at Samarkand in Turan.
3:
-Starmender is attempting to maintain the functionality of the Silk Road.
-I disabled the Silk Road entirely.
Do you plan on long-term support for the mod like Starmender?
Thank you for your work!
It was only half-dead so I was hoping to save it by surgically removing references to the missing locations in the Silk Road code. But I got lazy and I don't want to comb through numerous files and rewrite code to make it work flawlessly without key locations.
Europe is out. You can bother me now.
@One Proud Brazilian
Adding back the entire Silk Road would fix it...
I suggest adding india back, as its a major player on east and the lag difference wont be too much, considering PDX really did some improvements.
(And maybe the entire Silk Road?)
Thanks! :)
This one came out a couple of hours before mine and he extends the steppes farther West.

@jojsquad
I'm working on a smaller SEA map, then a smaller China/Korea/Japan map, then I'll be going back to Europe.
