@just_A_Simple_Player No, it's set up as a cargo station only and the carfloat can only carry freight. In reality moving passenger cars via carfloat was very rare in comparison to freight. The biggest advantage of the carfloat was avoiding all of the labor involved in unloading and reloading freight multiple times. That's not really an issue with passengers as they can easily walk from a train to a conventional ferry. If anything moving a whole passenger train by carfloat would just take more work and time.

@REXURAL31 You need a separate water route using the carfloat vehicle between two transfer bridge stations. A separate train line on each end connects the transfer bridges to the rest of your rail network. You'll need 3 lines to make a rail connection by water.

@jensonvellam There are two rail terminal options, the carfloat and station float modules have 3 and 2 respectively. The "carfloat landing" is the only water terminal module. The templates with 2, 3 or 4 bridges will all include at least one rail module by default, only the single is water only by default, but you can edit it after placement to make it rail only by swapping a module.

@REXURAL31 Make sure your train lines are using the train terminals and boat lines use the water terminals. You might be assigning lines to the wrong terminal. I might be able to add video later.
@dada.zak and ^3|^2MG^3|^4Biohazard I'll need more information to be able to help. What exactly does the error you're getting say?

Looking into a fix, but for now you'll need to disable it if you want to use the carfloats. It seems to be adding edges to any station modules it finds and the carfloat modules aren't like typical train station modules as they have both train tracks and cargo storage edges on one piece. This causes the capacity mod to break their lane lists by adding incorrect edges to them.

For those hitting the transportnetworkprovider error, do you have any more info? When does the error trigger? Is it when placing a specific module configuration?
So far I haven't been able to trigger it myself which makes it tough to fix.

There's both a station module and vehicle version of the barge. The vehicle version can move.

Sure, you can try swapping the load models to whatever you want in a private mod. Just a warning though, the custom load config for these is really complex. The carfloat.mdl file is around 20,000 lines long since it's 17 compartments with hundreds of possible parts each between the different cars and their loads.

@Hushey Any type of rolling stock can be used on trains going to/from the transfer bridge, however only the cars from my set will actually appear on the barges. Those cars were all built with this use in mind to exactly the same size which allows them to substitute for one another based on what is loaded. Cars of different lengths wouldn't stay coupled, there would be gaps or overlap between cars.
