imagine if rimworlds code was actually good... why would they code it that way? hell its friendly fire galore, ♥♥♥♥ that 1 dude whose charging at us while theres 50 pawns behind them and us.... oh? that rocket launcher looks nice.... shame its absolutely useless in mass fights despite them more or less suppose to be for it....

bro i swear, it's almost like pawns are designed to explode each other to pieces and i ♥♥♥♥ you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ not - the way target searching works is that pawns prioritize targets that are the closest to them. and enemies charging at you in melee just happen to be the highest priority targets for anyone with ranged weapons. explosives are literally designed for you to fail in this game, i'm glad i finally fixed that. personally, grenades quickly went from beyond useless to overly helpful combat tool.

thanks for the mod, after doing a mod quest and seeing TEN ALLY PAWNS ALL GET HIT BY FRIENDLY FIRE ROCKET... and then another 5 by grenades? i just couldnt take it anymore

So does this mod work with Combat Extended? I don't use it much myself but is interesting to know since it has a different system regarding ranged combat.

есть какие-то ошибки в консоли? в баг репортах писали про что-то похожее, тоже с механоидами связано, но они просто перестают стрелять.

мод ломает мод reinforced mechanoid 2 каким-то образом он ломает создание некоторых механоидов таких как стервятник не знаю с чем это связано но из-за этого мне пришлось делать новое сохранение что меня разочаровало

yeah, they also won't throw EMP grenades if pawn has brain implants. shield-belt equipped pawns will avoid your emp projectiles like fire

-> Is this also true for EMP grenades? If my melee pawn is fighting a mech, can my EMP-grenade-pawn throw the grenade at the mech?

yeah, in fact, they pair well together because this mod only prevents deliberate friendly fire when colonists throw grenades at each other. you still have to position your pawns the same way you did with ranged weapons, because explosives WILL get intercepted by something in the way. so if any colonist dares to run straight into your incendiary launcher fire cone - this is where Avoid Friendly Fire mod comes to play

actually, they tried to implement friendly fire prevention at some point, both for grenades and other ranged weapons, where they check for friendlies in fire cone. but it went unused. my guess is that they decided to sacrifice functionality over performance. in this particular case this was a very poor choice, imo. i absolutely won't mind a few frames lost if i didn't had to babysit every single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ muscle contraction of a pawn.

there is a method called FriendlyFireBlastRadiusTargetScoreOffset. it does nothing though. even if it did - braindead colonists would still blow up your own ranks if the only reachable enemy is dangerously close. because it simply assigns a negative score offset which means target gets the last priority.

Hey awesome mod, is there a way to enable only certain features? The target selection features (including correct usage of EMP grenades) are really cool but the dodging features seem a bit OP for my tastes.

I'm not sure if you are looking for suggestions, but you should consider assigning this to the pawn skills. Poor grenade handling with low ranged skill makes sense. Also, there are certain traits that can trigger this (Nimble), or any military background.

согласен. но либо это, либо дополнительный микро-менеджмент. если попробовать это обосновать, то союзники тебя типо предупреждают заранее перед запуском снаряда. чтобы ты мог спокойно оставить команду миномётчиков, которые будут автономно поражать цели, не попадая по своим. скоро попробую сделать настройки, чтобы можно было отдельные функции мода отключать по своему желанию

Ну, интересно, конечно. Но уворот от зоны взрыва или уж тем более от снаряда миномёта выглядит, как жульничество.
