If not, can you explain in detail what happened?
I strongly don't think it's 100% because of rendering the bombers, but it might be a factor, yeah. Using my vehicle pack for reference (since I know I heavily optimized every model in there), that bomber pack is double the file size despite having 1/4 of the number of vehicles (and that's counting those cannons). I'd of course ask just to know for sure, but I have my suspicions.
I don't know what change to make. I'd say to just leave it as it is if no one else reports it, as it could just be my computer. If more people report the same thing then I'd take a look.
Also yes, there are plans to allow the player to be the escort as opposed to always in the bomber as I really enjoyed having that option in the fleet mission
Also yes, it would be nice to have sites for the guns but being able to see your machine gun fire helps and I utilize the cross hairs for this mission
I think a Spitfire player spawn would improve this somewhat, in case some want to defend the bombers as a fighter instead for a change.
