idea/suggestion, auto spawner option that has anomalies spawn at random times but not too quick. like has to be above 1 minute.

That's fair. I'd suggest adding 'natural spawning applies only to the three secret entities' or something to that effect right after 'run ga_secrets 0 in console,' then covering it up with the spoiler censoring bar.

It's up to you, of course. You're the mod author here. I'm just a shmuck tooling around in the Garry's Mod space, you know?

Oooh, okay. That explains a lot, actually.

If you'll pardon me, I think it wouldn't hurt to communicate that a little more clearly in the description. I was under the impression that ALL of them were tied to the natural spawning mechanic, not just the big three.

I do think you should try your hand at tying all 33 to that mechanic, but I understand if that's a challenge. I couldn't even begin to comprehend the kind of hoops you'd probably need to jump through, what with the Source Engine being as... Source Engine-y as it is.

Oh the natural spawning is just the three secrets, I might try my hand at attempting natural spawns again for the base revealed 33 (behind a small random chance over time or something) Or alternatively an entity that just spawns a random base anomaly on the map if you'd like something like that :)

So I've heard. It's a neat aspect of this mod that I'm keen to experiment on.

That being said, are there similar conditions that work to trigger the other 30 anomalies, or are their triggers random like I asked earlier?

There are three secret entities (which are documented in some discussion threads(but I won't spoil)) that spawn under certain specific conditions that can be achieved by playing with the mod, they aren't map specific but do require navmeshes in order to function when the conditions are hit!

Gotcha, gotcha. That makes sense, actually.

If I may inquire, what exactly are these conditions beyond the obvious two (those being a navmesh and map props)? Do you know of any maps that hit all of them at once, or is there something on my end that I should be doing to trigger them?

There are certain conditions which anomalies will naturally spawn Somnambulist (of which are not time-related) :)

This mod fascinates me to no end, and the few anomalies that I've manually spawned are very creative. However, there is one thing that puzzles me, that being the natural spawning.

Is that mechanic set to a randomized timer, or do the anomalies start spawning after a certain period has elapsed? I've spent upwards of an hour roaming around a number of different maps (with navmesh, of course) without seeing a single anomaly. Is this normal?

solution to this issue, can you just make it so its configurable for anomalies to spawn on their own? its pretty easy to clean up after using them, but when balloons are all over the map its very annoying to have to go around popping everyone of them (which is something i had to do a few times) but for now i currently have this mod disabled which is a shame :c

By the way if you are in singleplayer you might be able to get some sort of save with the save command or save menu. It doesn't use lua to save things so it shouldn't error with this mod.

I've had a look at the warden and the skeleton and there was something within their code that I messed up, they should be a lot better now!! They are at the end of the day little funny creations that I'm making to experiment and learn a little bit of lua so perfection is not to be expected! and the passage is putting you somewhere on the navmesh.

Too many of these have main character syndrome. The warden and the skeleton just noclip through doors and walls. Would be more fun if they didnt. Any kind of limitation would go a long way. At least give them a timer before clipping through things so I have at least a second to think. I want to have a spooky adventure not get an addon that just griefs me the instant I spawn in. I dont get it. These can be so much more interesting but are a slightly more advanced nextbot. Most of these just kill you instantly before you can figure out what the gimmick is. Thats fun 1 time. Npcs like this have insane potential for replay value.
The passage always teleports people into a wall. Does it teleport people to a point on the navmesh or a random coordinate?
