Yeah, sorry guys. Some files got corrupted in my tags and I had to go back and rebuild a bunch of things. I'm sort of combining everything into one mod for right now. I'll get those up as soon as I can.

@rangeljhony515 i think they are under rebuild, @Collin said that he wants to change weapons placement on them and some second fire options.

ok i finally got to the hunters, i was still able to shred the hunters from distance, is there a way you can make it so that the flesh of the hunter takes less damage and the armor always ricochets the bullets??

I just posted an update with the AR tweaked a little. More spread if you hold down the trigger. I decreased the damage slightly in general, and cut is in half against hunters. Let me know how it plays now. Thanks!

i have an actual skill issue in close quarters with the hinters so i shouldnt be in any position to give advice on how they should fight

i cant speak of how easy it is to kill the hunters in close quarters, i engaged them at long distance at first then the final one i fought and i still died to it, so i cant speak for if the attacks should be increased however, and this ties into the AR damage, i just killed it from long range, this was on the silent cartographer map so the first hunter encounter, and i just mowed down one of the hunters from where you grab the medkits from the dead marines

@thepro241 The AR is supposed to be the bread and butter weapon and was horrible in vanilla. It's tricky finding a good balance, but I like where it's at right now too. I could try dropping the damage effect slightly to see how folks like it that way however. For the hunters, I am thinking I will increase their health and make their charging and melee more aggressive. I turned their melee damage way up, but it's still hard for them to land a hit. I like how challenging the hunters are in 343's games so that's what I'm going for.

@Nick Dickem Thanks! I will lower the AR damage to the hunters for the next update. Apart from that, do you think the hunters are more aggressive and challenging? I was playing with their attack settings to make them feel more like an actual boss enemy. Thank you for the input and glad you're liking it!

i LOVE the AR how its at right now, every other mod either doesnt touch it, or makes it too powerful, this has the perfect middle ground

i agree with the hunters being too easy to kill with the AR, however i dont want the AR to be nerfed across the board, it should shred through grunts but still be a challenge to kill elites, which is how it felt for me when i played on easy and heroic

Aside from those, I have no real issues with the mod so far. I think visually it's great, and the gameplay loop still feels like Halo, just with a few bonus features that make it feel exciting. As a WIP, this is already looking and feeling amazing. Once the balance is worked out, this has the chance to become one of the best Halo mods out there methinks. Keep up the amazing work!

Got through a few levels, so far I'm enjoying it a lot. A few suggestions for balancing from my current observations:

- Hunters are super easy to kill with the AR, even from the front. Easier than with a rocket launcher. May need to look into that. I love the powerful AR but at least on Heroic it feels like a tad too much

- The carbine is a great addition to the sandbox, but it along with some of the other Covenant weapons feel just a little underpowered currently

- While special enemies dropping powerups is neat (cloaked elites dropping active camo, hunters dropping healthpacks, gold elites dropping overshield, etc), I feel like there needs to be some change involved. Having a pile of powerups after clearing certain rooms it kinda takes the punch out of their usefulness. AGain, great idea, the powerups are very much underutilized pieces of Halo's sandbox, but as of right now I feel like they're too prevalent

Yeah you have a great computer. It shouldn’t be lagging at all. All I can suggest is doing a reboot and try not to keep much running in the background. Hope you are enjoying the mod though!

I closed the game and re-opened it and that seemed to work, but it also crashed on me. I don't blame you for that, I blame Unreal, but it is funny.

What are you system specs? I have a ThinkPad T14 Gen 2, which is a business laptop. It plays fine for me maxed out. If you are doing anything in the background that is writing to your SSD, that kills the video. Other than that, you may want to try lowering the settings. They are more demanding that vanilla obviously, but not so much that you should be getting lag. I am pretty new to modding myself and I don't know of any way to optimize the graphics. Hope this helps some.

Playing through on Hardcore, haven't even gotten off the Autumn yet. SO far, visually very impressive, love the weapon balance changes, but I am dealing with some very obnoxious lag spikes that make any notable combat encounters very annoying. The screen just freezes up every few seconds. I'm not running on a NASA computer, but it's not exactly a potato either. Maybe some optimization is needed? I'm not a modder so I don't want to speak out of my ass here but I figured the feedback would be helpful. I can post my specs if you'd like

Thanks for your feedback. Yeah, I intentionally designed the assault rifle to be a ranged weapon. As for the pistol, the damage is increased and now serves as a sidearm - a gun to use when you are out of ammo. And I can assure you if you played tactically on legendary, you don't die easily. Sound like you aren't a fan though. I am going to share my tags when I am done so feel free to change the things you don't like.

Played through on Legendary, but I don't much care for how the balancing was handled. The assault rifle is such an overpowered spray and win gun that there's no point in picking up anything else that isn't a power weapon. It's a shame because the pistol actually feels like it would've been a good counterpart, but the AR has just as good, if not better range to handle enemies with now. Many of the other weapons feel like a slight downgrade which just adds to how jarring the AR's dominance is.

Enemies (especially grunts and jackals) now fire stupidly fast in an attempt to match the player, but this is the same mistake that Halo 2 made. Deaths feel a bit cheap and encourages shooting gallery play instead of engaging in fights.

The flamethrower is an interesting take, but the amount of combat forms that spawn with it and melt you makes it frustrating to go up against.

No, the thumbnail is clearly generated using a stable diffusion model.

The biggest giveaway is the armor on the legs being nonsensical and asymmetrical. Also note the ejection port of the AR being on the bottom, the general shape of individual elements of the armor, the shape of the helmet, etc.
Also, the overall lighting, composition, and rendering of small distant objects gives it away pretty easily.

About your revamp, I must say I realy like the flame-thrower you tinkered. Not all mods have a flame-thrower which works very well and do not blind you.

As for modding, it is like many practices, you start small and simple then new opportunities open themselves to you with the knowledge you acquired along the way.

Good luck on your next endeavor, may you keep will, interest and imagination for it.
