Might want to check with the single pistol when incapped. It increases the fire rate for the single pistol to match the same as double pistols. I'd recommend not increasing the fire rate for the single pistol if possible.

@T626 this mod changes your incapped firing speed depending on what weapon you have, making it faster with the pistol and normal with the magnum. The one you linked just makes them both faster.

This isn't a "fix" because its nothing is broken about it. It's the Magnum that is broken because it lacks accuracy and fire rate reduction like the Pistols have, but that's more of a oversight than a bug.

it changes it every time you fire your gun. The only time it won't work should be when you've got one teammate with pistols and one with a magnum both firing as fast as they can at the same time, and you'll probably get a firing speed halfway between the two

So it basically changes survivor_incapacitated_cycle_time cvar depending on what current secondary you have? Yeah this will not work in multiplayer.

This is actually the case for L4D1 as well. It's most likely Valve forgot to code the Magnum the same way when they made it for the sequel.

Yes, I think there's a cvar to set the accuracy penalty when incapped. But the netprops can also be used for an alternative in case if you don't want to modify the cvar.

In case if you're interested in increasing accuracy when incapped, you can try netprops to change upgrade, & give the pistol laser upgrade (it's a hidden feature that pistol can get laser upgrafe, but it's via netprops). Then when the survivor stands up again, remove the laser upgrade on the pistol.

Should find a way to be able to pick up pistols whilst incapped. Went down, tried picking up a second pistol that landed next to me to help my team. It no work :(

potentially, but I couldn't find any way to do so. Using the weapons classname and ID gives the same result for single and dual pistols

Kinda sad normal pistols are so garbage compared to the melees and deagle. I think that all they really need is a speed buff to reloads, pull-out, and holster. Make em actual secondaries that you pull out in a pinch instead of being mid as hell.

This isn't what I've been working on for the last 2 weeks btw, i just accidentally found the fix for it while working on something else
