been playing with this mod and it has been so much better than the vanilla version when it comes to china and diarch stuff, however i do have one problem with the ai, the emperor just being able to change laws despite me having 90% of the supporters and him having none and not being able to at least contest it in some way is a bit silly, I feel like it should be harder for him to just change the laws if the diarch is that much in control, or else the ai will just kinda spam the law change it seems and you kind of have to save scum it and pray

When the diarch has no military strength it only gives a flat malus to the diarch.

You can still try to influence or sway people. You only try to dig secrets of liege and expose them.

I will probably add some small feature via event to try to influence supporters in the future

Playing as China's grand secretariat diarch is kinda hard to get swings toward me. There should be no consideration military strength because the china diarch can never have a matching military strength compared to the liege.

The mod should offer ways to pry power from the liege when playing as the diarch even when the liege is as much adored by the realm as I am.

but i cant imagine what kind of buffs or may be even interactions. more i think about it more it seems to be not an easy one, and not so useful

reason why sometimes you need a regent ruling with you is beacause he/she can give you more power. and bigger your realm is bigger the need of power. so that is why may be its good reason to add some buffs for liege and regent.

to reduce performance impact, swing value will be calculated every 3 months for AI ruler without player as direct vassal, instead of every month for player or player liege.

Great mod, except that I'm not sure if it is a bug that RegRew_influence_interaction is not visible.
I found that some variables ( RegRew_coup_liege_var / RegRew_coup_neutral_var / RegRew_coup_diarch_var) were checked in the interaction code with has_variable command, but there were no set_variable or change_variable command with the same variable names in the code all over the mod.
The same check code appears in other files too. Should the has_variable = RegRew_coup_liege/netral/diarch_var check be replaced with has_character_flag = choose_side_liege/neutral/diarch_flag ?

Not really needed but it's better with it.

I usually try to make the player at the same level of AI. Yes player can cheese the game like every others features of the game.

The AI as howerver one advantage , the vost to influence is higly reduce. I've set this mostly due to the fact AI is really bad at managing ressources

how do you solve overpowered player situation? i mean i can just throw money at every one so they will like me and thats all. The only situation i see it is not possible when player use some hardcore mod like Dark Ages with hard economy.

btw your mod idea is awesome.

No worries. I decided to start a new game and noticed the update as intended. I have managed to get back to where I left off. I prefer this system than the vanilla mechanics. Thank you for the mod.

I guess my save game is now broken and would have to start a new one. It just says "is not a powerful vassal"

It was buged, iI was paying attention to the AI point of view and didn't take care of the player interaction.
Now it's fixed, you can target powerfull vassal and/or powerful family house head.

The easiest way to do it is to activate the interaction on yourself

I saved just before I overthrow the Emperor because I wanted to experiment with the dynasty name and Element of Virtue, but now, I could no longer do so. If this new update involves the "Invite Conspirators to Coup," I can't find Powerful Vassals in China and I can't invite the heads of powerful families because they are not powerful vassals. Is my save broken now and have to restart?

update :

For the overthrow decision to coup the liege, with AUH i've set a temporary fix by disabling the invit powerful vassal to coup because the value was buged.
Now i've finished to fixes the decision for the player and the AI, it now works as intended. For make a coup you need to either invit powerful vassal or house head of powerful family.
If they are on diarch side it will be much more easy to invit them

Thank you for that clarification. After the Emperor died and his 14 year old son took over the throne, all of the Neutrals switched to me, including the supporters of the old Emperor and I got 1.00 swing, eventually getting max power. After ending a civil war against an Imperial relative, I overthrown the Song dynasty.

yes. The swing will grow on the side which have the more supporter.

To have the swing goes toward the diarch, you need more supporter on diarch side than on liege side. The maximum is 1 per month when one of both side have 100% of supporters

Oh okay. So, I just need to way for the Scales of Power to slowly go right? The Emperor only has 5% support while I have 40%, with the others being Neutral. It will still swing in my favour right?

- Ive reworked the calculation of supporters power from their military strength. It will be more accurate and vassal with a lot of military strength will have more power (expecially if they have the same or more as the liege)

I played with my friend for five hours and only encountered one instance of desynchronization, so I believe it should support multiplayer. This counts as a test run.

you can't see the UI if you are in observer mod. You can only see side from your regency or your liege regency. But it works for AI.

I'm in observer mode and I see AI with regencies, but vassals don't join any camp in regards to either supporting the diarch or the liege.

update : Now the AI liege, diarch and all supporters will also use the influence interaction on others supporter trying to wage the power to their side. Influenced value can be stacked if multiples supporters influence the same target.

Now all major features are now finished. I will make compat submod
