Great model, but I have to agree with the other comments that it'd be confusing. I definitely think that if the Bootlegger had been properly made a cosmetic instead of a weapon, this would be great. Full stride should definitely get in though, they're nice boots

I doubt Valve will add a cosmetic that pretends to be the Bootlegger weapon slot item -- and they shouldn't, for gameplay reasons -- because it would break an important rule of TF2: Players should be able to identify from a distance which weapons other players have equipped.

Putting the peg leg on the Demoman's right foot might help? It would still be confusing visually, but I can respect the wish to be able to cosplay a peglegged pirate Demoman without having to equip the Bootlegger.

I really like the look of the leather boot with the buckle, though!

Or make this a cosmetic item for Soldier instead of for Demoman.

Prob not a good idea to add a cosmetic that looks very similar to one already in-game that actually changes the Demoman's stats and gameplay

May as well add another style where the pegleg is on the other foot. Bonus points for a 4th style where both feet are peglegs.

If added, I'm guessing it could be rather confusing for newer players, who then incorrectly assumes the Demo is wearing the Bootlegger.
Then again, would be fun to cosplay as Pirate Demo with a peg leg, without needing to equip the Bootlegger.
