But I would love to make my map bigger with more cities. I tried Vanilla enchancement map v1.0 because again, it adds stuff but not too much. Is there a way to get this mod and vanilla enchancement map v1.0 to work together? I've tried every possibility with always a crash or something like that. Once it worked where map was updated, but I couldn't select any new factions from this one even though they were in custom battles...
As for the unit balances, I followed the vanilla conventions, so for many units such as the Roman bodyguards having less armor than the basic Roman cavalry, it is weird and I understand your point, but I kept it as it was because that's how it is in the vanilla game. I don't want to make my own stylistic changes because then it gets subjective. I would leave those kinds of rebalances to others who want to make their own submods.
I also wanted to ask if there will be a unit rebalance, so that, for example, the generals' bodyguards in chainmail will have the armor level of the chainmail units they're based on, rather than the leather-clad units. I can also suggest taking the model and stats of the Equites Extraordinaires for the Roman general's starting bodyguards.
Great job
I tested it a few times, but it never properly triggers.
Obviously I can just cheat in the 10k denarii, but I'd rather not lock the save out of getting achievements.
1: Verify the integrity of your game files on Steam. Right click Rome Remastered → Properties → Verify Inegrity of Game Files
2: Turn on error logs in RTW Remastered launcher by adding "-show_err" in the "advanced options" section, and then it should show a reason for the crash, and you can copy paste that in the bug reports discussion for this mod.
Hopefully this can be fixed.
My only complaint is that some cavalry units their shields are too big. It clips through the horse, the rider's leg or both.
Well that and maybe three new factions in pink might be a bit much. Especially when no one but the senate uses purple, a royal purple could maybe stand out more.
Or a very light green.
