@TheCalcMan, I got it working! I have to admit I have been very slow! I had issues with the option when it was first introduced and I had discounted it early on I assume? I largely am not comfortable with communicating with the devs anymore so rely on the ideas of Y'all! Thank you for the help. I owe you a steam gift for Christmas!:thestar:

@BerenOneHand No problem, just want to speed up the time it takes to figure it out. It's called "show intro text" or show battle intro" or something (not on the computer right now) but it's on the far-left tab in the editor, at the very top of the page. You have to manually click the check box for it every time you make a mission.

@jaybee & @D.E.L.T.A thank you immensely! The recent uniform/headgear mod "Operation Citadel" honestly has opened the door for historical variety within the community! I am itching for an old Winter War map to possibly be fixed so that the Finnish pieces may be used to the highest fidelity...

@BerenOneHand Actually, did you check the "show intro text" box in the mission editor? That's the only thing I can think of that would cause your intro text to not show in any mission you make, if it isn't anything else I mentioned

this is without any doubt the best fucking mission of the poland invasion in the workshop and theres no competitor, its almost sad

@BerenOneHand I'm sorry you feel defeated, but I'm telling you, it has to be a small thing that was overlooked because of how straightforward it works. I'd keep trying, but it's up to you.

@BerenOneHand No problem :steamthumbsup: I think it might be not properly reading the file as soon as it's saved, that's all I can think of if you've done everything else correctly.

@TheCalcMan Perhaps that may be the issue then either editing too much or not properly allowing the file to be read? I will write a few short introductions to test it out because I desperately want to bring all my recent missions to that standard. Thank you immensely for the advice!

@BerenOneHand I don't use the public beta but I feel like that's not the issue. The only time I had the localization file not work was because I accidentally replaced the string key names ('invaders_name', 'battle_name', etc) with what I wanted instead of typing what I wanted in between the two brackets of each line (the place where the ">" and the "<" meet in the middle). I think I might've saved the mission or restarted the game afterwards.

Other than that, I simply generated the localization file, typed what I wanted, saved the file itself, and it worked.

@TheCalcMan I am unsure if it is a problem with me being in publicbeta always or just my ineptitude for basic computer-work, but when I create a localization file for a mission & fill it out - I am never able to get that localization file to work after publishing? I've tried on & off for maybe the last 5-7 months and never had luck with it even though everyone's missions come standard with that opening text.

*Small updates coming soon, I'm researching and adding the commanding officers as Player spawns just for fun. I almost want each spawn from cherry to command to feel like a unique dogtag. :hindsight:

@Pheonix028 , Thank you & importantly thanks to @Akoza for the work on the map! It's extremely easy to design these historic missions when you have a damn good scale replica of the exact battlefield. I knew I said that I had been finished, but I really am interested heavily in the new Berlin map(s) & Akoza's Grain Elevator map - so there might be some surprise mid and late eastern front...:hindsight:

I warn that the mission can become either very difficult or very easy depending on random chance. If the German support fails to make hits count within early stages, then the Polish 'defense in depth' becomes very strong as the battle progresses. If the defenders lose valuable assets early, they may find it hard to keep up with the ever-mounting Stuka attacks & bombardment. Both sides have wildly different strengths and it is fun to see the two methods fighting against each other. Thanks for enjoying and I apologize for the map requiring all DLC. I get paid Friday and still offer to get @Cervus the last DLC he needs please dude just tell me!!!:warlord: :thestar:
