I played a little Bit of The Forever Winter : Demo. Didn't get far, but it's a cool game.

Yes, in game the armor is black, but the textures for it show it as dark gray. My guess is that UE5 tints it so it looks black, but i don't know how to replicate it.

the armored cyborgs seem a bit off, the armor plates in the game (and wiki) are a black chrome while it appears as a matte gray in the mod's cover photos

though I'm decently sure you already know this according to the description
