Far more enjoyable now, after the newly published revision. I've played it twice in the last day, and found it to be more enjoyable and realistic, after allowing the carrier to host Ifrits and Medusas. Also, noted the AI doesn't abandon the player mid-match, allowing for some continued assistance through to victory.

I like how the oil rig is set up. Been mulling over making a rig-hopping mission since before the ibis came out, but i keep getting stuck at the conceptual phase. The destruction of rig parts really is an omnipresent problem.

I am inclined to agree, early versions were punishingly difficult. I've pushed another set of changes to hopefully make it less so, though it will still be a challenge: Increased reinforcements, defences on Oil Rig, reduced skill of enemy ships, reduced amount of enemy ships (removed 2 Shards), added ARAD strike to help soften up naval base, added production for Ifrit and Medusa platforms to player once Oil Rig is captured.

Great concept, however much like the rest of RNG's campaign missions, it is unrealistic and entirely too difficult for solo human players, who are also solely responsible for managing the rest of the battlefield. Substantial modification is necessary to make it an enjoyable battle. I tend to avoid RNG missions at this point, but this one piqued my interest. Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend it for most players.

Don't play this solo. It's insanely fustrating to have to manage every single aspect of the mission with useless AI allies that can't do anything because they will never kill a shard or dodge a RAM-45. You end up needing to simultaniously strike a heavily fortified airbase with lots of priority targets and intercept a never ending wave of enemy planes without a single break. I got nearly to the end before the oil rig fell due to sheer attrition and the enemy got to the carrier.

Needs some nerfs to enemy plane availability or buffs to player plane ability.

Moved the initial friendly Shards back and changed the load out of the pre-spawned AI to hopefully reduce the likeliness the AI damages the platform.

AI keep destroying vital portions of the oil rig, insta failing the mission
