I'll give him the naval invader trait aswell to make it (cosmetically) more accurate, as to why he can take part in land operations aswell. The joint interconnection of land and naval forces was very present in the conquest of india so we'll keep one eye closed hehe

@~{Lizzy}~ Just a personal compromise for convenience in order to have him lead your army aswell. Unfortunately with the tree, Navy for the E.I.C is pretty limited and tied to the late game, so I thought it would be a waste locking them away until you get your first tiny Destroyer

You‘re right, the VOC never actually had comparable possessions in India beside several strategic trade posts and a presence in Ceylon and Coromandel after ousting the Portuguese. Larger territorial ambitions were in Indonesia, Malaya and Burma if I‘m correct. Guess 'East India' in their sense was understood by the Dutch as a broader term for the southeast asian region. But maybe someone here has more knowledge on that matter

@Bush Vookie I checked and this has to do with the way the DLC works for the Raj. If you complete the focus "Keep British Generals", they'll lose the trait 'Loyalty to Britain' - however, this trait determains the Generals you'll keep once becoming the EIC, so don't complete it before separating from the Raj. Complete it after and you're fine. Once you further complete the focus "Death knell of the Raj", you'll get the remaining once given to India. Hope this helped

@krzeslo_gaming it can, but you'd need to manually delete the "common" files from the mod folder, that change the country's color on the map. Unfortunately Paradox wouldn't let you have these files if you want to play ironman, despite them not giving you any benefits in this case. It is easy to do, but a matter of choice

@prizoner445 Only requirement for this to work would be the DLC with the EIC focus tree. Otherwise there shouldn't be many complications. Hope it works!
