I started the included "sky island tribals" scenario, and after building the comms console, the gravship engine crash quest doesn't spawn. So I'm stuck on the island. Anyone else?

On the Moon, after I dispatched a team from my spacecraft to launch an attack on another faction's base, all my teammates who stayed behind on the spacecraft were killed in a counter - attack. When I wanted to call my main force back for reinforcement, I found that my main force couldn't leave the base of the faction I was attacking, nor could they return (to our original position/ship).:steamsad:

Ok I fixed that, but travelling to new islands/ maps with gravship permanently creates new map and I can't abandon/delete it

For the missing layers issue, go into the mod options and see if the options are ticked to generate.
I had a new install and all layers were disabled. I enabled them, restarted, and tested again and they generated.

Ok, so I have the "additional layers not generating/existing" issue, I fixed it on a previous save but I don't remember how, yes I have the Atmosphere enabled, What's a way to fix this on my existing save?

FYI - I think this is conflicting with some of Geological Landforms more important features. The map editing while setting the game up. Other than that, thank you for the mod.

I'll see if I can replicate it, but I'm running ~270 mods so jank is expected at this point. Also going to pick up the Choose Where To Land mod and see if it works with the floating islands. If I can get it to happen again, I'll post everything over in the discussion thread. Thanks!

lol I just had a shuttle try to land on one of the islands and miss. Tried to get off the shuttle in the middle of the sky. Pawns disappeared from the outliner at the top, and kicked me back to the world view. Had an autosave right before sending them, so nothing lost, but it was quite funny to watch

Sally smithson, then you should report it in Issue discussion thread with additional info on what biome you having base in. Also info whenever you have mods that increasing natural animal spawn or it limit.

There's a ton of birds, yes, but I figured that's normal. It's a flying island after all.

I did have to install a scarecrow mod to keep the damn crows away from my crops though.

I just checked, i have 170 birds on my island in the troposphere, 99.9% wild. And that is excluding other wildlife that managed to get on the island due to a temporary bridge to the edge of the map

Madlark, ye, that a thing that happens even on Odyssey asteroids, so a good idea for a mod, but probably not as a part of LAO, since rn I sadly too busy with work for such. Can put it in Suggestion discussion thread, so other people or me in future could revisit that idea.

Spider Cricket, ye, was awesome childhood show. Hopefully there will be more modders, who will be having skills and interest to add more theme specific content based on LAO.

I'm playing the "Tribals stranded on a floating island" scenario, and I wonder if there is any means of letting the neutral pawns which crashed in pods off the island? I healed them, but since they have no means of leaving the isolated floating island, they just wander around aimlessly and starve to death. Cannot interact with them. Perhaps add some type of "teleporter" structure/object which would act as a map exit point for such pawns? Or at least a pop-up along the lines of "The saved survivor realizes there is no means to get off the island and asks whether they could join your colony - Yes/No", similar to what happens with the paralytic abasia crashlanded peeps?

Pholith, regarding all compatability check Known Compatability. The issue not critical and happening not on LAO's side, so should be reported to their related devs instead.

For translation there is two ways:
1. Make a submod with translation. You can check any of LAO's translation submods for the reference.
2. Making a pull request on github.
Usually people pick first one, cause it allow them to fix issues and update translations when they need it. Just let me know once you release translation submod.

Spider Cricket, no problem, happens. At least you were able to figure it out.

Regarding claiming floaitng islands it works same as with asteroids. They getting claimed only when you land of them with gravship. So you will need a grav anchor placed before you leave on a grav ship. While shuttles just land and map dissapear after they leave unless you have a pawn on them. If it works differently for you with asteroids, then you most likely just have a mod that add such mechanic.

I've got another question though; Why can't I claim/settle islands like you can with asteroids? I'd hate to leave this island alone, only for it to completely disappear along with all of my belongings. Thank you very much.

I'd like to issue an apology; It actually did end up working, exactly the way I described. Thank you, and sorry for doubting you. This mod seems really great; I love the way the islands end up looking, and how the biomes set within the bounds of each rock. My only wish would be a hotkey like B in base odyssey that brings up a menu to pick from layers, such as for transport pods which don't seem to like cooperating with the current button. mashtong54, please move all messages to the separate discussion thread, cause this is a comment section and such spam of messages will be removed later. Also try to word things a bit more, cause I can't understand quite a bit chunk of what you said due to typos. And the last one is that LAO used provided in Rimworld 1.6 logic for adding layers, so if SoS2 haven't fully become compatible with 1.6 logic, then once again you should report it to them instead of here.

you mod need to stea save our ship 2 sutels as if it was bot ha veacle for conveys and as a apwn at teh same time and make shure your mod knows that for leo cataltions so it doesnt get stuck.

i will try to disable get off my grave ship mod to see if thats the sole case ofthe ship not landing or moveing bescue i didn't have issue taking off withe saver our ship 2 with it instealed but whne it try testing landing soemthing not working for some odd reason. it might be low earth orbit or get off my grave ship mod and save our ship 2 and low earth orbit all not geting alone with how save our ship 2 new shittel mechincs seam to use bot hwapnand veacle difenino and the get off. my grave shipt apiw treatment might be haveinga huge eigede case issue that i seam to find out somehow. but i still trobleing shooting on what it could be.

it looks like the combat ship and salvge maps need to be put inot the orbit and high orbit slots bescue the game for save our ship 2 gets confued on wher it is bescue save our ship 2 gets a bit mad whne you didn't define the robit and high orbit map combat ship map to map layers proberly in like spwaing in teh right layer.

ship combat and haveing the hsusles of save our ship two for hige orbit to land is fine but the ships in save our ship 2 won't land or movie for some odd reason due to some edge casee i fonud out aobut how the new save our ship 2 comonty vecale frame work and vunala veacle froaworks and savre our ship 2 and how your mod hadled gravships seam to not have taken save our ship 2 ships fully into aconut where the new version for some odd reason. also i made shure that the mod lading order is as good as it can get. so o don't know what else to tell you otehr then your mod seam to not like it so much.
