@Dr.Dog that's very vague, i have no idea what's causing the issues, please describe the problems exactly and what the issue is, how the issue occurs etc. Please be detailed.

Reminder to anyone subscribed to this mod earlier: "Trap Catch Timer Fix is no longer required as it's been fixed in B42.12 by TIS, please remove that mod from your subscriptions if you have it, leaving it in could cause conflicts with the vanilla game."

Tested several times with just AuthenticZ - Backpacks and Pocket Kittens enabled, on fresh new saves and i couldn't get the vehicle dashboard issue so unfortunately it's probably not AuthenticZ causing the problem but something else. Be aware though that AuthenticZ is not updated for B42.12 as it was throwing BodyLocations errors but that wasn't affecting or doing anything in my end relating to the vehicle dashboard which worked just fine.

@sushicatyum I was unable to reproduce the issue with just AuthenticZ - Backpacks+ enabled and Pocket Kittens. Did you test on a fresh save? Or on a mid save? Was it just these two mods enabled when you tested? How did you test? Did you got up to a car you had already or a fresh new car?

@tacticallucki I found it's Authentic Z - Backpacks+ conflicting with this mod that causes the dashboard to not show up for me. I have no idea why. But once Authentic Z was removed, dashboard came back. Same for if Pocket Kittens was removed with Authentic Z left in, dashboard came back.

@Last Sentinel ah, yeah i don't know then for Steam Deck, i don't have one myself so i can't check for issues with that device. Sorry.

@Last Sentinel Check your console.txt in your Zomboid folder usually in your C drive like this: C:\Users\(username)\Zomboid and there should be logs of errors from other mods. From there you can test and disable certains mods that are causing errors till you find the issue. If you still don't find the issue then it's another mod silently causing issues with this one. Im unable to fix or do anything until someone tells me which mod is causing the issue and i can try to provide a compatibility fix it or contact the mod author that has the problematic mod.

addendum to the previous comment - i play on steam deck, so i don't know if it's something to do with mods or hardware but all seriousness, the inventory menus are blank and it won't show me anything

not sure what mods are clashing but currently when i try to load, it won't show any inventory menus, just black voids empty of loot or kittens :(

@galkinzhenia As far as i know this mod works in 42.12.0 already. This goes to anyone but please report issues if you find any. Thanks.

@eWreckt_DENTIST what mods are you running? i ran into the same issue where this mod is effecting my dashboard as i drive. which is really confusing since this is a player mod not a driving mod. maybe seeing what mods we have in common can help us find the problem and a work around.

@eWreckt_DENTIST Updating this again, i just confirmed it is NOT my mod causing the issues i just installed and enabled the Purchasable Traits Mod and it works on my end, i can click and open the menu and purchase traits and my game is heavily modded. It is something in your setup causing issues. Most likely a third mod is causing issues with the UI and Pocket Kittens just happens to be the catalyst that broke it. Something in your mod list is causing UI problems causing issues like your vehicle dashboard not showing.

@eWreckt_DENTIST I'm playing with over 380+ heavy mods and i don't have that vehicle dashboard issue nor have i had anyone else report an issue like that and I've been playing quite a lot recently. That's a problem with your setup, one of your mods is conflicting and causing issues with Pocket Kittens. As for the Trait Purchase Mod, i can look into it but i can't guarantee a fix if it's not my code causing issues. I don't how my mod can be causing conflicts either since there shouldn't be any overlaps with the code from those mods but then again i have no idea how their code functions either.

This mod made it where I could not see my vehicle Info or vehicle dashboard while driving. Also conflicted with Trait Purchase System mod not allowing me to bring up trait menu. just fyi

@Visoth I could look into it but i would need to create a new model for a hanging kitty or use the pre-existing models.

Loving the mod so far. May I suggest the option of being able to attach them to Backpacks? Same system as tents? Just imagining my kitty strapped onto my backpack.

Unrealistic? I'll have you know, I read about someone who bike across the country with their cat in their carriage!

@LokiPhur I would need to implement new models for this (which i have no idea how to do btw because i don't do modeling, just coding) and to make them an actual animal already sounds like a really tall order. I've thought of this idea but it would take a lot of time and possibly be a bit of challenge since it would essentially require an entire rewrite of the current LUA code, it'd be like if i was making a new mod entirely. Cool idea though. We'll see.

A mod that adds actual kitten/cat animals and maybe even the ability to see that animal reach maturity (becoming a valued team/family member) would be the no 1 mod on workshop. Cute mod, but pets are already objectified enough ; )

@[KUN]喜欢吃皮蛋拌粉 Fixed. I had to do a few rewrites on parts of the code for the Context.lua file. The code before it, completely ignored any IGUI translations for those parts of the context menu. Everything should be working now, i checked with other languages too and they worked for me, as always report any issues if you do find any again. Also Note: I added the missing translations for everything else too including the context menu and tooltips thanks to Google Translate.

Hello, I'm reporting a translation issue with the right-click cat menu.

Only the "Rename Cat" option is properly translated.

I found the following two entries in the Lua files and successfully translated them:


IGUI_PocketKitten_Rename = "Rename kitten",
IGUI_PocketKitten_RenamePrompt = "Enter a new name:",
However, all other options in the right-click menu (such as "Put in pocket", "Let go", etc.) still appear in English, even though I've added their translations to the localization file.

It seems the game isn't picking up the other translation keys — are they missing from the code, or is there a specific format I need to follow?

@UNCMETH_FrmThaO Normally you can still eat one when they're a stray even without the Psycho submod however once adopted they can't be killed anymore that's how the original version worked. I should probably update the code to prevent that though. Just be careful and avoid clicking the eating option when handling a stray.

I increased bait effectiveness and added more baits. I didn't fully test the bait system but it *should* work. They spawn more often in trailer parks and towns, sometimes in the forest. It just depends which baits you have. Defo try getting a dead mouse or rat as bait.
