What are the optimizations in this new version?
3. Inconsistent level Design. The safe rooms between chapters feel disconnected, as though each map was designed in isolation. This breaks the illusion of traveling through one continuous environment.
While the campaign does manage to capture a mix of Swamp Fever and Hard Rain atmospheres, it doesn’t offer much else to stand out. Overall, I’d give this campaign a solid 2/5.
1. Overuse of crescendo and gauntlet events, with Chapter 3 being the worst offender here. This particular chapter gives you very little room to maneuver while throwing Special Infected at you from above, capped off with a Tank waiting at the end of the bridge. It feels more frustrating than challenging.
2. Poor bot navigation. Chapters 2 and 3 suffer from major bot pathfinding problems. In Chapter 2 in particular, bots frequently fall off the boat during the ride to the safe room, taking unnecessary damage and making the finale of the chapter harder than it should be.
