I added a suggested code change that fixed the issue for me.

There is an issue with the mod trying to patch VFEI2, where if you are not using that mod it throws an error:

Yeah, pack animals aren’t limited to the player, so NPCs could load them if they try. I’m just not sure if they actually have the AI behavior to do that.

npc faction can also use these insects caravan?
