XOX - Inline modular Engine that made the enviroment weep?
If the checkbox to take over spawning on that page is disabled, it will only affect engine parts and engine part condition is based on the average body part condition.
When you remove a part and right click it in your inventory, you'll get a series of random defects the part has depending on its condition. Each defect has multiple repair recipes (More or less) that use different skills and materials to fix.
If you succeed, you'll repair its condition some (10~40%), if you fail, you'll degrade its condition a little, add to the 'times repaired' and make all future repairs slightly more difficult to succeed on.
Some parts might have very simple fixes like clean the part, while others will require replacing missing or stripped bolts, welding holes in the part, hammering out a dent, etc. This makes all worn parts a little unique!
@Space.Marine.Corps Gamepad support should be fixed now. Will eventually add antifreeze in the radiator yes, just haven't gotten around to it yet. Problem is that final gear ends up determining top speed of the vehicle.
@Berhemoth I am not interested in making a less complex version.
@iblack1277 If you are having performance problems, please narrow them down and see if they are caused with *just* project summer car loaded vs pure vanilla.
I would like to ask if there is something simmilar but not as complex?
Something that would add just few thing like alternator, transmition and break booster.
Basicaly lite version.
Thank you.
I NEEEDD IT
BUT ITS SOOO HARD
DAMN YOU AND YOUR IMPRESSIVE MODDING SKILL
You likely won't find a 5 speed in heavy duty since it requires they have the 'firebird' RPM type. If you get the W900 semi truck mod, they will spawn with 8 speed heavy duty transmissions however.
Will check gamepad support, thanks for the report.
@Alexens then you have some other mod that has an invalid repair script. this is a known B42.12 issue with mods that have not updated (or have leftover files from updating) as zomboid changed how repair scripts are formatted. This mod uses 0 repair scripts and does not cause the issue of not being able to repair car body parts. It does not touch car body part rightclick menu in any way.
@Alexens All issues to do with repairing car body parts are nothing to do with this mod. This mod does not affect them in any way. Its a known B42.12 issue that many other mods are breaking things like car part repair. "Damn library" for example needs to be unsubscribed and resubscribed to or it breaks all car part repairs.
@Inverspe Yep! both engine condition and quality increase as you put better condition parts in for the main engine parts. 'quality' is more about starting chance now then anything else.
One thing that DID confuse me, though, with my lack of knowledge, was the transmission parts. I ended up looking it up so I would know what I wanted, but I think it would be nice if you added a short/quick description to the various transmissions and torque converters in the game, explaining the benefits. Mainly, for the low/medium/high stall torque converters, to help players understand the impact of changing their torque converter better (how it will affect car performance). Something simple, like "fastest acceleration, lowest fuel efficiency" for the high stall torque converter, and so on.
@Inverspe Repairs will be coming in a future version.
