The paint code is an awesome idea. Hope to see more of it in the future, it looks like it would be great for applying complementary colors to whatever paint users choose

There are multiple submissions that were already added to game that use a custom VMT. This one is no different when compared to those. I don't see how it couldn't be.

That's cool, I do wonder if it can still be accepted in-game, however.

Personally, I wouldn't mind getting this item, I don't like how the Stereoscopic Shades on Scout changes drastically on BLU (I know it's a different type of 3D glasses, but still). The tech behind is interesting too.

It takes the color value of the applied paint, inverts it and applies the change to the other lens.

"Custom code"? Isn't a quirk with the alpha mask where instead of coloring it white, it's another color so it reacts differently with paints, something that happens with the Stout Shako between teams, for instance?
