is it normal for orbitaly bombarding an enemy base increases ship notoriety based on how many weapons where fired? it also increases if you fire on your own base if the number gets high enough that ship will never be able to trade with anyone.

Same for me, the gizmo is not showing, using two small laser turrets.

I'm not seeing any issues in the logs and it looks like the patches are all active. What type of turrets are you trying to use?

I looked again, still no gizmo. I scanned a pirate base to see if that would help, but still nothing.

I might be having a mod conflict or something, because I didn't see a gizmo on the turrets. I am in the process of updating all of my mods, so I will check again.

To use the bombardment just select one (or more) turrets. There is an "Orbital Bombardment" gizmo that will let you target a world tile.

OMG. I just found this out now). Now it's clear why there's an option to pay off some kind of fine.

There is an optional feature in the mod that will add bounty to the player for each shot that hits the planet. Bounty increases the odds of being attacked. You can disable this in the mod settings if you prefer.

That bug should be fixed as of the last patch. Please unsub / resub the mod and if that doesn't fix it please upload a log file if you still experience the problem.

Can you fix the bug that makes it so that it permanently lags the game and makes it unplayable? Every time i've used it, the entire game jumps to 10 to 15 fps FOREVER while the game is playing,and i cant do anything to fix it. Pressing the button to show bugs shows hundreds of red glitches

Another update - I've fixed another bug and added two new options to the mod. The first is an option to disable a new feature where firing upon the planet will increase your bounty level (similar to attacking a trade ship in orbit). The second option is to re-enable using the advanced sensor to view faction bases on the planet.

Bit of an issue. After doing a first bombardment, the turrets are stuck in "Can fire in 25 seconds" mode without the countdown restarting (yes, they are powered, ship is controlled and the like). Any clue as to what could cause this?

@Saltmarine - next version will have the accuracy and speed values moved into the XML so it will be simple to modify yourself.

@M1911A1 - please provide a hugslib log if possible.

@Casscadier - thanks for the log, I'll have a look. Probably something with the latest SoS2 update. I'm not sure why you can't fire at ship maps at the moment, I kind of like it because it would make ship combat trivial but I will look into enabling targeting salvage ship maps.

Ran into an error while bombarding that caused my TPS to plummet (presumably as it was an ontick error) Figured you might want a copy + mod list. Laser still obliterated ;). Error also continued once saving and reloading.

amazing mod! Would it be possible to make it able to target the salvageable ship map as well? Currently you cant fire your ships guns at it and it would be awesome to be able to through this!

why are lasers inaccurate? why do they take minutes to land? lasers shoot light which travels at 3 million meters per second. if you want to "balance" this, make lasers do less damage because their beams get scattered by the atmosphere to some extent, making them slightly diluted.

The world traverse speed is in the compiled code. I can move those values into the XML so it can be patched or manually modified. I'll put out an update tonight.
