The creator of VJ base doesn't update his mod in a way that breaks or invalidates addons made for it. If this were the case, more than half of VJ NPCs would not work.

yeah but is outdated by alot, i dont know even know how they work in the current vj base

I am using the payday 2 police because they have more variety in enemy and I can use them for more packs. They also have custom weapons.

is better if you use the sentry cop vj mod
