I checked the Rimworld wiki. It states that every 3 days a pawn inside a vat will recieve 8000 experience for a random trait, which I assume is the duration of a cycle.
That means, assuming I'd read the wiki right, children should get 4/3/3 cycles over their childhoods. One day inside a vat ages a pawn 20 days, therefore each year aged they finish a cycle.
The mod's buildings increases that rate, so you'll get more cycles than that, up to (if I'm understanding the numbers right) almost once a day.
If it's ok, I had a thought about how some of the rimworld "questionable ethics" could be added to the idea. How about an option that lets you pick a trait to implant in the vat grown pawn, but at the cost of them gaining a random negative trait?
Instead of just making Vat growing too much overpowered by removing any limits or downsides, it replaces them with interesting solutions. Now Vat-growing basically encourages you too use it for growing people in masses, and not just enchance one individual.
Ive probably just written incomprehensible word salad, did i?
I assume you probably don't have any plan for this mod outside of fixes, but would you be willing to consider adding an option that would give kids in vat the full benefit of linkable, regardless of the number of occupied vats nearby? It's really rare (at least for me) to have this many kids in the colony at the same time, and you really miss out on the bonus with only one kid around.
Either way, thanks again for your work.
