Ah yes sooo much better. Now I dont have to aim

Have you tried Tripwire from the latest update?
The angles have been tweaked a lot not to be so sharp.
@w_enslin I have updated the level to make things more consistent in tripwire. No matter how you jam the barrier it should now always close (given you placed the jammer close enough). Let me know what you think. I am glad to get feedback and update the map to streamline and make things more fun.

So I guess for me it just was not intuitive, It isn't obvious that a jammer's line of sight has precision so tilting at an angle is not something that's easy to intuit. All uses of jammers for me up to this point was very direct either something is directly in its way or not . for example when I was just exploring I took the box out from underneath the jammer quite a few times it still just jammed the barrier at the back. I suppose it's just me but I felt like it was a game glitch that got exploited

It's worth to try it again after this night's changes :steamhappy:

w_enslin:
Could you retry Tripwire again after this update?
Natsume.jp 9
I tried it again after a while since there was an update. It seems a bit more complex now. I think it's a good change.

Oh wow, seriously! Okay thank you so much I mean damn! that was like hours of my life I am not getting back, but thank you. Finally!

w_enslin:
Jammers have this trait that they shoot a ray precisesly where you aim.

1. Put the box behind small barrier.
2. Put jammer on the box aiming at the foot of big barrier. The lower the better.
3. Take the box from underneath the jammer so it falls and stops jamming the big barrier because it's ray will be blocked by the small barrier.
4. Go to the other side and use the jammer on small barrier so the jammer behind it will jam the big barrier allowing the receiver to be activated.

Yeah I guess its true I am just to stupid to play this. I can only endure so much frustration, honestly I suspect someone found a novel glitch in the game engine and exploited it, but I only say that to make myself feel better. At least I tried.

I've just stopped here to say that I love this detailed theme mixing stone with metal like those ruins were conserved and repurposed to build a puzzle on them :steamhappy:

@kleinba:
I mean riding the first gate to 🧀 the star. Not after completing puzzle.

@w_enslin
Hint for Tripwire: Thinking through it, you need to toggle the plasma barrier that blocks the laser from inside the two gates.
A Jammer chain would allow you to redirect the opening of the plasma barriers. Knowledge: Jammers keep targeting the point you click on even when moved.

Solution: Set up the jammer ontop of the cube behind the small barrier, jamming the lower part of the plasma barrier blocking the laser. When you take out the cube from under the Jammer, the jammer drops and the barrier closes. Jamming the small barrier jams the large barrier now.
I hope this answers your question.
@Darky The solution to tripwire does not involve riding the gate. I thought that if you can ride the gate, you have solved the puzzle and therefore did not place anything in the way. Have fun taking that Jammer anywhere you desire. Hope that helps!
Darky 9
@kleinba:
Was I supposed to ride the gate in Tripwire?
that box is just not high enough to allow me to jump over anything and the jammer in the next room the only thing it can jam is that partial wall. I just dont know?
Okay lets see jammer can deactivate a force field wall (dont know what to call it that wall that stops laser beams) there's a partial wall and a full wall. This puzzle would work if both were full walls simple but it would work. I just dont know what to do with a partial wall?
@w_enslin All puzzles are solvable with only the tools provided in them ( they do however use weird interactions you have probably not encountered before ). You've got this!
Is trip wire actually solvable?
Natsume.jp 8
I understood the real solution when the wall was built with “Multipurpose.” This is a new idea for me.
I have updated the Campaign.
Changes:
- The switches in Reminiscent correctly turn interactable.
- Added some QR codes
- Rethought Tripwire to remove the softlock
- Removed softlock in Return after Use

Let me know what you think.
Resonλnce 8
Also find the softlocks a bit irritating, perhaps there are ways to design around them, such as ladders followed by plasma barriers. There are some great ideas here, like Elevator, even if it is a bit janky in its execution.
Natsume.jp 8
It's a good puzzle. I like “Tripwire.”
ineluctable_assasin 8 月 13 日 上午 11:58
OK, fair enough, I sometimes forget we have the rewind feature :)
I have added some ladders to hopefully remove most of the potential softlocks in "Reminiscent". Sadly I cannot remove the soft locks in "Tripwire" or "Return after use" as their solutions require you not being able to return to the beginning. If you think you are stuck you can use the rewind feature or reset the level (There's a checkpoint before every puzzle, each puzzle is quick to solve and is completable with only parts found inside that puzzle).
ineluctable_assasin 8 月 13 日 上午 10:55
interesting looking, but quite a lot of softlocks which has caused me to lose patience.
