Cranberry, prjector power consumption scales only from vac roof tiles, any other roof type within it range won't be affected. So you can make any shape you need out of vac roof.

Deggial, probably, but depends on how compatability friendly VGE will be. If they did everything properly, then there will be no need for any additional patches from me, since I used vanilla code for such.

Apparently, Oskar's "Vanilla Gravship Expanded" mod is about to be launched soon.
Are you planning to make your mod compatible with it?

In VGE, thrusters require 'astrofuel' to function, and I am unsure whether the 'Gravship Field Extender Module' will be compatible with VGE's supported structure calculations and scaffolding.

is there a way do destroy "extendable bridge tile"?
got row of them somehow bugged, can't retract, can't deploy past them, deconstructing extendable bridge doesn't help - those tiles no longer part of it, dev "destroy" doesn't affect them, nor changing terrain tile or placing natural mountain on top of them... they really fn stuck there

Lil Kitty Girl, that's sadly intended way Vanilla handeling on-wall buildings. You can test yourself that same happens with on-wall lamp,

Nomit, not familiar with GravTech, but I don't think there should be any issues, since my upgrades implemented in a very vanilla style method. So can always ask peopel who played with both ro their devs.

Awesome mod!

Is this compatible with GravTech? As far as I can tell, both GravTech and this mod both try to edit the Grav Engine (gravtech makes the engine output power, and this mod makes the engine upgrade-able with extender modules)

Sorry if that's a silly question, I'm a newb.

Burki from Turki, there is a Suggestion discussion thread, where you could provide all of your ideas. Regarding solar panels not cutting trees it intended and logical since tree way higher, than elevation of solar panel.

some suggestions, make the solar panels cut down trees in their paths its annoying to land on forests

make the solar panels count on the same tile as the wall they are built on like vanilla expanded's wall-mount heater, else you need to expand your home tile every time you land in case your solar panels breaks down and it becomes a micromanagement chore after a while

Scyobi_Empire, steam's automated content check system stuck after mod page description update, so it auto hide it. Can't do much on my end except waiting for steam to solve it. You can still access the mod on github [github.com], if it for some reason got removed from your PC.

Vac Roofs simply don't work. I tried Nebula's Simply More Roofs, and when it didn't work, I tried this one. Drop pods aimed at a drop spot get "pushed" outside the Vac Roof areas. Seems it's just seen as normal roof.

I was trying to shrink my mod list and I went nuts when I couldn't find the terrain scanner in the research tree. It's such an essential QoL to how I play that I thought it was vanilla.

Cretz, In that field it probably act as normal roof. Multifloors was never part of the idea/plan, so I not familiar and aware how it work to give you defenitive answer. Whenever vac floor can be made, then it def can be, but no object in rimworld trying to go through the floor, so there is no use for it. If understanding right what you mean with multifloors, then probably the best use for vac roof usage would be the top floor, while inner floor using normal roof.

NightFlyer, it combination of Hydroponics and Moisture pump. There is a search button in research tab, which should show it right away. And ext bridge is under bridge research. Both bridge and hay can't really be affected by mod compatability. If you still can't find it, then report it in issues discussion thread and provide logs.

I also can't find the compressed hay in the build menu or in the research tree. What research is it supposed to be under? I can't find the extendable bridge either. Could it be a mod compatibility issue? I do have Expanded Roofing (Continued) installed, but that shouldn't interfere with the flooring options, should it?

JAS, it in floors menu and use require research. After you build it and wait few days it wil lbecome soil, so you can do anything you normally can do on soil, but it count as floor, so it will fly with gravship.

I can't seem to find the compressed hay in the build menus anywhere. Also, I'm assuming it's meant to be able to grow on the ship, right?

MatrixVirus, there is a button next to show substructure overlay, which appear after high gravtech research is done. It looks like in workshop mod description. If you still can find it, then report it in issues discussion thread and provide logs and screenshot of both gravengine selected and research tab.

How do I upgrade the grav engine? I have an extender placed next to the grav engine, but I don't see any gizmos or context menus to do anything? (research is complete)

Would it be posibble to make the bridge only use power when deployed? Or make it configurable?
Currently i switch the power off if not needed, but it could be automated this way :)

Omega13, I can indeed see that happening at the moment, seems like there is missing variable that was suppose to prevent building under wall retractor from deconstructing, which end up missing in release ver. Should be fixed soon.

JAS, report it to the issue discussion thread and send a screenshot there while hovering over the zone with mouse, so at the bottom left would show which roof you had there. Also provide the logs, so I could see the mods and possible errors. Plus tell whenever you disabled Vac Roof patches in mod settings.

Correction, it doesn't do nothing, it throws up an endless stream of errors when i enable dev mode. I'll take this to the bugs forum.

I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong with the roof retractor. It will only let me build it on a wall, but when I build it on a wall (shuttle hull) the builder deconstructs the wall first and drops it in place, though they have no problem with me ordering the wall constructed back under it. Whether there's a wall under the retractor or not, I only have a "Pack" option, which does nothing.

Poindexter1985, it intentionally working only on constructed roof for balance reasons. You still have an option to use mod to remove hangar only roof and replace needed part with constructed to use it, if you want. It done through C# and not keeping in memory what type of roof it removed, so making it work on different roof types will be problematic to some degree.

Is the new roof retractor limited to standard constructed thin roofs only? If so, is that something that can be tweaked in XML, or would it need C# to change?

I know it's outside the scope of this mod, but I love mountain bases and love building hanger bays into them. I've long used the Operable Roofs mod to make this possible, but it would be great if your tech could be used to the same effect.

Oh wow. This mod looks amazing. Going to test it out.

It looks like it has the foundation code to make a retractable airlock. From the bridge and roof. Just need walls and life support, and we're golden.

Pretty cool! This is the best batch of random Odyssey stuff I've found. Everything looks nice, isn't buggy, isn't overpowered, fits in nicely with the game.

@MrHydralisk, thanks. I wasn't at the point where I considered it an issue with this mod - sorry if I missed there being another thread I should have used. I was simply investigating where the issue might lie.
I do have Expanded Roofing (Continued) as a roof mod - but I am puzzled if this cause this observation since it only happens to vessels not from base game.

But again thanks for the answer, and from your response I take it that this mod does not implement specific patches towards the passenger shuttle. So I'll look elsewhere for what could cause this behaviour. :)

WarezCrawler, report it properly to issues discussion thread. Also I just tested and no such issue with that mod was encountered. So it highly likely you just have other roof mod, that influencing it, rather than issue with shuttle mod.
