You can open the .vpk file found in steamapps\workshop\content\362890\3543672379, using something like GCFScape or VPKEdit, then delete the following folder inside said .vpk file:
sound/bms_objects/portal

As for the requests, I'd love to do that, but-
With how the current workshop interface works, it's hard for me to make replacements to override certain sound files w/o resorting to manual installation

Could be possible, and I'll look into it at some point later on, currently on my modding break for the moment

I absolutely love this mod! I have one very, very small request, however. In the Soundscripts + mod, there is a random sound that can play, being the portal-in sound. It uses the original portal sound; do you think you could make an addon to this that changes that sound specifically? Another mod I would like to see compatibility for is the Classic Vox Remade mod. The retinal scanners use the Black Mesa voice for the "ACCESS DENIED" and "ACCESS GRANTED"
You don't have to do this at all, but I would absolutely love compatibility for these mods

Yeah there was a clear gap in sound design quality between earthbound & xen (even blue shift), and I filled it in with what you see here

I made a few videos with these concepts actually a few years back. They're off YT now, but I'm glad someone went ahead and added more depth to the world! Just what I wanted to see.
