I'm using it for almost a month with around 500 mods and I've never had the dissapearing items bug. It's wrking perfect so far.

Thanks everyone.
I'm sorry but I don't have the time to continue working on the mod at this moment..

I added the public github link if anyone is interested. If that's the case, let me know.

I experienced the disappearing items issue a few people have reported, but I'm not sure if it's actually the fault of Storage Memory. I experienced the issue trying to move a Reel's Medicine Cabinet, linked to another Medicine Cabinet and an Adaptive Primitive Storage "Woven Basket (x3)". In one case 18/36 items remained after moving, in another none, and in another 34/36 remained and two stacks dropped on the floor. After removing Storage Memory, reloading the save, and moving the same medicine cabinet, I found that all the items still disappeared. Reloading the save again, and going into the "contents" menu for the storage and clicking the red x to drop items, each item I click drop for disappears and the game produces a "You have filled the map" message, with no errors logged in the debug log. Unlinking does not resolve the issue.

Hopefully this will be helpful.

So. This mod has possibility of deleting items? Anyone else?
KawwaK 26 aug om 2:50
This mod is awesome, so underrated! It works like a charm. Thanks!

@Selk Destroying storages with items doesn't seem to drop the items for me. I destroyed a Wood Log Pile from Reel's and it dropped none of the wood stored within it.

Unrelated to that, it seems that the mod also throws an exception on deserializing bookcases, resulting in them being 'deleted' upon loading a save. May only occur with non-empty bookcases, or small bookcases, but I'm not sure.

So for some reason, picking up and moving my storage crates causes some kind of weird map glitch where all the graphics start piling up on top of each other to the point where there's names and colors all over my screen. Specifically the large wooden crates from Reel's Expanded Storage.

@micky101836 & @efedrall6663 : you might use another mod that conflict with mine. I just tested to move a shelf full of vac suits and to destroy a shelf, I don't have any issue at all. Do you use any other storage mod ?
efedrall6663 10 aug om 14:18
I moved my shelf one tile down filled with vac suits and it destroyed half of them bruh. Time for dev mode.
micky101836 9 aug om 21:31
when the shelf is destroyed all the items on it gets destroyed as well :steamsad:

@thesoupiest : Uh... no. Minifying work well, but reinstalling a minified storage containing another minified full storage provoke a bug.
thesoupiest 8 aug om 10:19
Can I minify a bunch of loaded shelves, then put them on a shelf and minify that shelf?
Selk  [auteur] 8 aug om 2:22
@KawwaK It should work right away as long as the storage mods use vanilla classes.
I've only tested it with Reel's Expanded Storage mod, and it works (despite the known issue I explained in the description, but it's a minor one).

Hey, great idea!
Most people nowadays uses Adaptive Storage Framework, it's by far the most common storage system with mods like Neat Storage.
I think it would be great to ensure compatibility with it.

Another update : it should now work with bookcases as well.
Selk  [auteur] 7 aug om 6:58
I just updated the mod, it should now work with gene banks.

@Caramel : I learned about this mod yesterday. It's still a good exercise for a first modding experience :)
Selk  [auteur] 6 aug om 21:28
@VitaKaninen : stored minified furniture (like beds or table) are moved correctly, they don't fall on the ground.

I have updated the description since I found a problem with large storage (such as crates with 50 items inside): one or two stacks of items fall on the floor when the storage is moved.
Caramel 6 aug om 20:59
if you dont want gizmo show up, this mod is for you
Caramel 6 aug om 20:59
same as Packable Containers, but no enable gizmo, bookshelves also not work
VitaKaninen 6 aug om 13:31
I use another mod, Packable Containers, that does something similar, but it still throws furniture and other buildings on the ground when I move them. Will this mod prevent other buildings from dropping off of shelves?

Much apreciated, genebanks are the continual bane of my existance whenever I move since there contents deteriorate.
Selk  [auteur] 6 aug om 8:40
No, it seems that it doesn't work with gene banks; the gene packs fall to the ground. The same goes for libraries.
I'll work on making it work with “special” storage buildings.
Reprogrammed Automaton 6 aug om 8:21
will it work with genebanks?
