you can just replace the turrets in the editor with tabs ones.

the turrets and guns arent really compatible with any other ship and traditional teardown turrets just suck so yeah no not really great as a warship

The mod is good, but there is little interior space. One of the downsides I can note is that the doors do not close, but this is not critical.
