I'm currently working on a new set of weapons for TF2 using Vscript, and was working on a bowling ball secondary for Heavy. Would you be willing to let us use the Soviet Striker for the project? The texture work on it is immaculate!

I LOVE the idea of having a brand new weapon type for all the mercs, and this one fits Heavy very well. we can even have different variations with different stats, such as a coconut for summer updates, a curling iron for Swissmas, and even a big rolling boulder.

A big gravity-affected ball rolls on the ground and can ricochet off walls and does heavy damage to opponents

What a fun and out of the box idea. I don't know if it really has a place though. If it is going to be a secondary weapon it has to compete with the sandvich which, it can't. I think it would actually be a good melee weapon with a taunt kill sort of thing like the pyro. Point blank it will kill instantly but from further away maybe it just clonks them.

also valve wont have to make a new system because throwable secondries exist both for scout and sniper

why not just make it a melee weapon, valve probably wouldint want to make new codes for an entire different design for one weapon.

If your submission requires Valve to program an entirely new type of item, you're better off going back to the drawing board.

This would be awesome as a Taunt that can instant kill at mid range. But as a weapon? Hard to say about the balancing part since TF2 is now a semi-comp/casual game.

when i saw this i was thinking of fred flinstone, when fred stand and walks on his tippy toes and then bowls. the taunt kill should look like that. also this is a very good idea

if this wont work in tf2 make sure you use it as a sfm model so people can use it for maps

I think fans from Fallout4 would love this concept after trying out the "Bowling Gun" from Far Harbor!

Maybe you could charge it to roll the ball faster? But while your charging, you probably wouldn't be able to move... So make your shot count!

Why slow moving? Ive seen bowlers and they can really get them balls moving

Just imagine if the heavy rolled the bowling ball, it would go 10x faster,

slow-moving projectile that rolls along the ground and does either 30-50 damage with cleaver recharge time. I would suggest a slow effect to simulate broken legs but i know valve HATES slow effects.

As a bowler, I love this weapon. 300/300 would get a turkey

If this becomes a legit thing it should be able to bounce off walls along the ground to make it an awesome weapon.

I absolutely love this xD Though I feel like it'd make for a great taunt rather than a weapon entirely. Imagine the taunt kills though xDD
