Did you try the "getpos/setpos", "kill" or "mp_restartgame 1" commands? the last two allow you to return to the default spawn.

Possible to spawn at the default spawn so dont need to walk to the location and try to position ourself

Did u check if "use map guide" is enabled? This only works in Practice mode.
Let me know if it works for u, I subscribed to the item and it works perfectly.
