My large station does have a road connection, the small one doesn't so on realistic you will need either a vanilla station or a large station at the other end of the line. That has worked as a combo before and hopefully if the other bug is fixed will work now.
Do say if you're having any more issues and I hope this now works properly for you :)
As another note, without a road connection I wasn't able to unload the cars from it (which is why I had to sell them). Not sure if that's a limitation that can be worked around or not, but might mean you need a vanilla cableway station on one end still once you fix the issues I mentioned already.
Looks great, would be nice if this issue could be fixed.
