@FlyingAce you can power the detector with an industrial generator and it will extend the range, pretty much infinitely. Otherwise you can use the Object Editor mod and edit the detector to have a high range.

@FlyingAce It is pushing it to the other direction due to that you don't have anything holding the pointer in place. Attach the base of the pointer to an industrial gyro, and that will guarantee the rocket always points towards the mouse. Just make sure you attach the rest of the rocket to the pointer itself, not the base (so attach the stuff to the round thing)

@Chesvin I'm not very good at contraptions, so this is probably possible without a mod, but I'm trying to make a pointer guided missile. The problem is, if I put a booster attached to a pointer at the back, then if I point the mouse in a direction other than where the missile is already facing, the booster will push the rocket in the opposite direction. For example, if the missile is heading straight down, the pointer is pointing straight down with a booster attached to the other side of the mark, if I wanted it to move to the right, the pointer would point at my mouse, putting the booster on the left side of the missile, turning it left. With a mod to invert the pointer, that wouldn't happen. Or at least that makes sense to me

@FlyingAce I can do that, but just want to understand why it's necessary. Can't you just attach whatever contraption you are doing in the opposite side of the pointer?
As in, have the pointer point at your mouse at 45 degree angle, and your contraption then points to 135 degrees because it's on the opposite side, if that makes sense.

I don't know if this would be possible, but could you make a mod that allows pointer to be inverted? Like if the pointer is on the ground and I move the move the mouse to be at a 45 degree angle, the pointer move to 135 degrees? Im bad at explaining this
