Yeah, I added a bit to the FAQ about installing it to an existing game, happy to hear you got it to work!

I figured it out. For a game that is running, you need to go into dev mode and remove your ideogram and save/reload the game, maybe quit to OS. Reboot, re-add the ideogram with dev mode, and you can then place it wherever you want.
So it sounds like its good when youre first creating an ideology, but there's issues when adding it onto an existing one.
