(got a crash report on an unrelated mod that ended up being caused by the missing prehistoric dlc eggs crashing the codex)

Please put some dlc checks on the dlc specific critter recipes, otherwise you will crash the codex for people that do not own those dlcs

Cow_of_Fire, thats a problem that has nothing to do with the mod. It is a problem with onedrive, and if it happened to you with this mod its going to happen with many others. The game is using onedrive to store your savefiles, you need to change it to another local path or follow the workaround Klei posted ages ago.

When I tried to us it a few days ago, it caused my game to crash, and just minutes ago, it was stuck in a loop of restarting the game to update the mod. So, I am not going to use it for now.

The problem was the mod updater, it was messing up the update... so i forced the update through the mod list and that fixed it. Lol, funny thing is i was using mod updater precisely to avoid these problems...

If you don't see settings button it might be that the game hasn't automatically updated the mod to the latest version (common issue). I recommend Mod Updater as will check for new versions and allow you to force update mods if needed

I dont see any options in the mod list.

@n3mes1s the latest version has an options menu in the mod list, so you can scale the power and heat requirements (down to 0 if you like) and the resource requirements down to 1% of the default. I hope that helps a bit! Thank you for the feedback, I'll keep adjusting as necessary.

I get it. But the main problem is that the requirements are extremely high. By the time you actually build it and you can use it without burning your colony you just dont care anymore about critters. You have the ones you want already and for one or two base critters is not worthy all the trouble this building is. I wanted to use it cuz i never EVER get pufts in my runs, so this was my only solution... and even then, it is just not worthy. If you could just lower the heat produced A LOT, and maybe lower the power requirements to half or something like that... well, would be different.

@n3mes1s my original thinking was to design the egg printer as an emergency option to resurrect a species, or maybe start up a ranch on a new planetoid where the species wasn't present instead of shipping one over. I play without care packages and originally I made the mod to deal with my own dread that a species would go extinct permanently and spoil a run for me, hence why the costs are prohibitively high to use in any other scenario. I don't want to dictate how it's used though, so I'll look at adding an option to scale the resource costs!

well, the requirements are high.. TOOOO high for producing only base eggs. Seriously, -radbolt research+1000W+50KDTUS.... not really worthy to even use it. If it was able to produce morph eggs..

thats not even required. the building will simply stop existing and its building resources will drop if the mod is removed
