You really should make the ODYSSEY DLC show up as Required.

This mod is safe to remove from your game anytime, will not impact your saves will just revert you to the default engine ranges again.

I had to make this mod because the quests I was getting despite having just made my first gravship were like 6-8 'hops' to even get to them. Now they're only 3-5 hops. Paired with the PnzrMods Engine Cooldown mod, you can get to your gravship quest sites much more comfortably now!
