Thanks for this, losing a thurster is not end of the world by any means, but half the raids being deadset on gettinng your thursters and nothing else, not even fighting is annoying and building them inside the ship hurts the eyes.

This is exactly what I needed! Encasing my thrusters sucks, but having them stolen every time I land sucks more. Thanks.

Thank you for this. It's ridiculous that thrusters can just be walked off with with 2 seconds of fiddling. Makes zero sense.

Had this happen to me tonight xD Had my colonists all ready to take on this one raider from the vanilla expanded settlers mod, and he ignored them, went behind my ship, and yoinked a thruster. Was just my second or third raid, too, and my group was in no shape to replace it before the mechs found us.

I don't use that mod either, but last I saw anyone use it raiders were still running off with walls 'n stuff. Anyway, my point was that that mod can't have that effect on Odyssey thrusters if they're already minifiable in vanilla
Also not to get too autistic, but the way it works is a ThingDef defines (for example) a building, which can have the <stealable>false</stealabe> property to make it not stealable, as you might be able to guess c: but by default buildings do not have that property, which is the same as if it was there but marked as 'true'. So if all a mod does is make a building minifiable, it will also then be stealable by raiders, because that's the default state.

And yeah, raiders stealing what they can and leave is not the most common thing to happen in my experience either.

"...unless it is specifically marked as not stealable in the ThingDef." <- this is what I thought might have been the issue, I don't use minify everything, but I was under the impression the maker of those mods removed the def's for something being stealable for certain buildings they make minifiable (like walls), but I could be incorrect on that, not a mod I use myself.

Must just be hard for me to tell because my ship, and bases pre-1.6 have always been very well defended, and most foes perish before they get close enough to go on a theft spree.

They stole my thruster once, but I like it because it makes them leave without taking anything important.

People on reddit have been talking basically since release about raiders stealing thrusters and gravship cores and whatnot.

Plus, I tested it myself and yes they do steal thrusters.
Whether they steal anything at all or not depends on something along the lines of your colony wealth and maybe whether anything of high value is accessible to raiders (I don't know exactly, but when testing I had to inflate the wealth a fair bit before they would go for 'Stealing what they can and leave' behaviour at all.)

Besides, why would 'Minify Everything' Have any effect in this situation at all? Thrusters are already minifiable in vanilla Odyssey. The reason raiders steal walls 'n stuff with that mod is because raiders can steal basically any building that is minifiable, unless it is specifically marked as not stealable in the ThingDef.

They can steal gravcores (A damned tribal stole mine lmao), I would not be surprised if they can steal the thrusters as well

I've had raiders attack my thrusters multiple times and they have never picked one up and ran off with it, OP are you sure this is vanilla behaviour, or do you have a Minify Everything mod installed?
