Nevermind! Turns out the research project I was attempting was bugged. I will be using devmode to complete it now, since I spent about 2 in-game days fiddling with my pawn, so she should have completed it in that time.

Do you think that this mod would be safe to remove mid-save?
I think it's causing my pawns to not be able to do research. Thanks!

Hi @Kat, hope you're doing good. I noticed you had uploaded a few mods in a similar vain to this (right clicking to force a task). Would it be possible to make a similar mod for allowing you to force a pawn to eat from nutrient paste dispensers? Ie: select pawn -> right click dispenser -> context menu with option to force "eat paste". Similar to how you can right click a meal to have context menu options of "haul / merge / eat".

It's such a small thing, but it drives me mad, and I don't have the programming knowledge to do that kind of thing myself.

Try the Achtung mod or, do manual prioritize and set it to 1.
It's more of the game's issue, not the mod.

@Operator common sense shouldnt be an issue with this mod. Try out only my mod and see if the issue persists and then add mods until it reappears

this mod makes my pawns just stand still not do anything when they have a task. i do have common sense mod. could that be a conflict?

I restored the mod to an older version now. It should not break everything. To completely force the pawn to research forever use a mod like Achtung!

hey @jadabandon i have noticed the same issue and im trying to fix it. However currently i need to deal with my mental health so development might pause for a while. If i get it fixed ill update the mod tho

@xaniel I have not encountered those issues with this mod, I personally keep activating it and deactivating this mod because I keep having issues where pawns stall out doing research and several research tables just end up not being used while my researchers just wander around, even after setting task priorities and what not, but upvote it regardless as this mod does seem to fix the pawns from time to time, its not perfect, but it does seem to help.

Behaves poorly. The pawn will get stuck in their chair until you make them move after drafting them in some circumstances. The text for prioritizing research says "Prioritize do research" and its absurdly distracting. I don't recommend it.

I don't think it has anything to do with underground layers, I landed my gravship on the planet and forced research - only to have the cancel button not working on me (the pawn stopped momentarily but went back to researching). Same when I order her to eat, she picked up the simple meal and dropped it to do research.

Hello, I have noticed that this mod may have a conflict with the "Ancient Urban Ruins" mod: The specific issue is that when conducting forced research in the underground layer created by the "Ancient Urban Ruins" mod, the cancel button will not function (I used machine translation and may not have expressed myself accurately. If this has offended you, it was not my intention).

Hi @Maxhd4321, I assume this is related to the latest patch - now I see 3-and-a-bit columns of "Prioritise research" when I right-click the bench.

I published a fix for that issue rn. The pawn will research forever now until you tell him to stop by prioritizing something else or pressing "Clear Prioritized Work"
