@Phoenix Replace ParentName="BaseInsect" with ParentName="AnimalThingBase", that seems to fix it, not sure if anything else might get messed with by that though so fair warning

Adding to the "no scarab eggs" reports, I made the edit recommended by ClayTeeth and now female scarabs are showing egg progress, but not actually laying when they hit 100%.

I like this mod mostly for the flavor it adds to buy playthroughs but I was curious . Now that there's creatures that can actually fly will you be adding a flying mechanic to the Vargulf?

Scarab's not laying eggs is a problem with the original mod, if you open Bloodscarab XML file and change the life stage def from "EuSocialInsectAdult" to "AnimalAdult" that should fix it. The basegame def "EuSocialInsectAdult"doesnt have reproductive tags.

I am also having the same problem as @Mysteriono and @Ribes. My blood scarabs simply do not lay eggs or breed in any way.

Anyone know a mod that has medieval- tehc-level armor for modded animals like these?

Are the blood scarabs supposed to lay eggs? Ive yet to get a single one from farming them. Using kibble as food.

Not sure if you'd be interested but I've been toiling to get pphhyy's Demigryphs, Grimstone Beasts and Alpha Mythology functional in 1.6. Shakes fist angrily at VanillaExpandedFramework namespace changes!

Just patched the VFE renaming. @TeH_Dav, you are indeed correct on which class names now fits the old one.

@Alucard93, that's rather strange since this mod is an XML mod--there is no compiled C#, and there are no patches, so this mod doesn't modify any other mod's content.

As the other say, this generates a long list of errors depending on the modlist or causes a corruption crash, but I'm not sure why.

@Gideon I noticed some issues with the BloodScarab, SanguineDeer, and Vargulf def XMLs. The NocturnalAnimals.ExtendedRaceProperties is not being found, probably because the Vanilla Expanded Framework namespace has changed. In all likelihood, it needs to be changed to something like VEF.ExtendedRaceProperties in those files. Hope this helps!

Hey ! First, thanks for the Reborn edition. Sadly, I do not have a crash, but the mod can't run with Dark Age : Beast and Monster / Dark Age : Crypt and Tomb. It prevent the starting colonists to spawn. Too bad, I was looking for this mod, and it took me 2 whole hours to figure which mod was guilty, but no problem chief, that kind of thing happen. Keep up the good work, you and all the wonderdul modders community.

Same thing as hovershift, no idea why.

Gideon i dont know why or how but your mod is giving me a corrupt crash which rimworld removes my entire list of mods if you are in phhyy server i can give you the error logs

Thanks for chiming in, pphhyy. I'm looking forward to whatever changes you eventually come up with if you decide to. I don't use all your mods, but I use both BoneReapers and Lightless Empyrean....and I was not willing to go into 1.6 without them. Your creations are absolutely my #1 necessity for RimWorld aside from basic functionality items like RimHUD.

To be clear, i said on DISCORD that i would roll them into one mod at some point:
all my biomes and animals mods that is
on steam i said they aint getting an update to 1.6
and even if i do i have no idea when, it might be many months or longer or NEVER

so i am ok with you doing this, you credited the original which is nice
but rick and mashed are also good buddy's who have seen people steal things before from other modders; both art and code and they are just trying to look out for others
especially since i dont check steam all that often, and usually ignore most friend requests unless i expected it to show up

so by all means keep the mods i said are dead up, i might do somthing with em later or i might not, modding dosent pay the bills after all LOL

Rick, there's no way for me to research "who is active on the scene" when, even now, days later, my friend request was actually rejected and no response came from the original author. I can't possibly know every modder who works with every other modder, and even if I did, nobody polls the community and waits weeks or months to do a reupload. If the original author disagrees with the upload, the original author may request takedown at any time.

So the lightless mod I wasn’t even mentioning, that one was just letting you know that Jerry and pphhyy had already made a deal about updating, enhancing and improving the mod. I was referring to ghost fence in my comment. Now the license I’m not fighting you on, again it’s just the impatience and the lack of research into whose active on the scene of modding and the time between asking permission and then reuploading a mod. That’s what my main gripe is at the moment, is when I see you ask and only wait an hour then upload as 1.6 because the beta is out and not even the update.

For those who want independent verification of this claim, simply download the original 1.5 version of either Lightless Empyrean or Sanginary Animals. In the mod's folder, you'll find a file named LICENSE (not yelling, the file name is all caps), in which you can see the license.

In regards to your assertion about placing credit, your Ghost Fence reupload was the only one that hadn't had credit placed. The other mods before it (such as Simple Storage Reborn) DID have credit placed. You also called out on a mod within hours of it being posted. It had no description at all yet either, and the callout you request was immediately granted without argument or delay upon seeing your request.

In accordance with the MIT License, which pphhyy himself has published the original content under, I have 1) included a copy of the MIT License in my redistribution, and 2) engaged in permitted use, copying, midification, publication, and distribution which I am entitled to engage in per the license.

Despite this, I still offered to take it down if pphhyy objects. You are not pphhyy.

@Ranger Rick, two things here...1) the original author of this mod said otherwise than what you're claiming...and 2) the original author of this mod, who is also the original author of Lightless Empyrean which is the other mod you're making claims about...has stated on both mod pages that he will not update, and 3) has also released these mods under MIT License (which I pointed out when I reuploaded)....In case you aren't familiar...here are the terms of the MIT License....which expressly grant this reupload

I see you do tend to ask the og author and then release the mod an hour after. Again thats one of the things im talking about people being impatient with this update.

Okay so lets start this over, this is a 1.6 of a mod that is actively being worked on even before 1.6 is out.... The other mod we went silent on because you were in fact correct and it was appreciated, the issue that was had there is you didn't ask and just took something without doing base level research or placing credit. I see you have at least started placing credit so I do thank you for that. As for an agenda im just sick of people re uploading without looking into anything or asking questions first. I know this mod author well, which is why im saying its being worked on, hell im even planning on contributing to it and new things are being added. You're not the only person doing this either so I don't mean for it to be so aggressive sounding, but a LOT of people are being very impatient due to this update that isnt here yet.

@Ranger Rick, starting to see a pattern here with your comments...so far, I've only updated abandoned mods...and even the mod you and your friend had a claim to, I offered to take down and you guys both went radio silent....so I'm not really sure what your agenda here is?

Official version is in the works for update. May want to hold off on some of the “reborn” or continued mods until the drop and dlc dates actually pass.
