The best advice I can give is just to do it, there's unfortunately not really any great guides out there but they're more than enough to get you started and the official documentations are mostly fine. It's the kind of thing you just have to be willing to commit to and you'll eventually learn everything you need to, as you go.

you know this is really cool i personally never made a mod before but am wanting to and i was wondering if you could give hints or pointers cause i mess with this mod heavily

probably needs some fixing: he has quite literally 0 effective kill power; his f-air only spikes but has no reliable setup, none of his other aerials kill before 250%, his grounded tilts are the same, his smashes kill but f-smash and d-smash are both techable so they cant kill either unless the opponent makes a mistake. his specials don't kill either. i'm not sure how else he's supposed to kill. he's also extremely light so he just dies really early and struggles horribly to kill.

I've never used final smashes in rivals before so I wouldn't count on it

Cool concept, but holy, he has utterly horrendous kill power. Seriously, give some of his moves more knockback scaling or something, because I should not see Maypul consistently survive well past 140%. I've literally seen Steven's FAir (which is a spike btw) not kill at that %.
