@TheGod: I'm sorry friend, that is my fault. I didn't provide the left and right facing sprites properly. We'll be fixing that in the next update. We'll also update a few other issues with the Machicolation. Thank you for your feedback and patience.

would be fun to have a shimmer and lava machicolations that you could maybe make with the infinite buckets, but it doesn't really sound like it'd fit with the other stuff so idk.

quick request/suggestion but can you make it so you could make the machicolations also craftable with the cooking pot? Since the cauldron is just a reskin sold only on halloween.

I ged it only for spike walls and maybe drawbridge:dsbridges: later, but its full of awsome stuff.

Hey, fosforum1, that's a really good point. The Hell Drawbridge is made of Obsidian and Hellstone, so it should be immune to lava...we'll look into that. Thank you.

Why Hell Bridge can be destroyed by lava? That's dumb, lava slimes too often mess up my builds in underworld

I really like the magical bookshelf/ doorcase item but every time I reload my world they start ignoring wires and just teleporting me to the closest one, which really sucks, also it would be great if we could use pressure plates to activate bells

I'm not super familiar with the engineering and architecture of portcullises so just do whatever you think is the best representation for what you want from it.

@Joe Mc'Murray; ripvanwinkle; Monokuma: Thank you all very much for your feedback. The people have spoken! I think it is very reasonable that others feel the same way about the portcullis. In one of the next patches, we will update the closing travel velocity, sound effects, and maybe even the sprite. My initial thoughts: Maybe we can make it more physicalized, so when it opens, it doesn't just disappear into a single block, but rather, it ascends in full view with a windlass centered at the mid point of travel...Activating it when fully open might just make it fall or drop with a thud and bounce a little with some dust particles... <Again, just my initial thoughts for a rework. What do you think? Thank you all very much for playing the mod, and your feedback is supremely valuable. I really want this mod to be the highest quality it can be, and the way we do it is through your continued change requests, feature requests, suggestions, and constructive criticism. Thank you!

I'd like if the drop of the portcullis was faster than the raising to appease my brain worms but if it's annoying to code it's okay if it stays the same, too.

@Joe Mc'Murray: For the same reason that a mighty drawbridge operates slow and controlled. It might take the combined effort of a skilled carpenter and an experienced metalsmith weeks or more to procure the materials, shape the beams and slats, forge the pins and clasps, create the jigged framework and build the encasement...not to mention executing the mechanics of the windlass; measuring, forging, and unifying the chain[s] which hoist the structure. These gates are not currently employing counterbalance systems, after all. The craftsmen of such masterful mechanics wouldn't dare allow the product of such toiling to be treated so carelessly on a regular basis.
... But if there were additional requests to speed it up, we would certainly consider it. 😉 Thank you for your suggestion. 😁

@Vaskal Thank you for the feedback. "Powering the drawbridges lower them, but [does] not raise them," sounds very similar to an issue where "wired drawbridges dont activate when given a signal" which we addressed some time ago. The solution at that time (and still today) was to place wires over ALL stationary drawbridge tiles, both horizontally and vertically. I hope this solution fixes your troubles. Thank you, again.

Why does powering the drawbridges lower them, but not raise them? Makes it completely useless to me, please look into fixing that!

@Kuon: Thank you for your question. The clock works on it's own without any input or wiring. Simply place it and it will show the current in-game time. Bells can be wire-connected to a Tower Clock to automatically chime at morning/evening. Bells also give a buff to nearby players when chimed.

Looking at the horse armor, it makes me sad that we have so few lances in the game. It'd be great to have a playthrough with a few friends getting some thematic knightly armor sets to match the horse armor sets and some lances to go with it. Though I imagine they'd be vanity armor sets.

The draw bridges also do like a stone breaking animation when I activate them and wires don't work on them.

@Space Gandhi: After placing the stable, simply right click anywhere within the space the sprite occupies. A row of four item boxes will pop up with pictures of the mounts you can place. Keep in mind that this is a "horse stable," so, you can only place horse mounts in their respective item box. So that includes, from left to right, the Blessed Apple (unicorn), the Black Studded Saddle, the Dusty Rawhide Saddle, and the Royal Gilded Saddle. We may, in the future, expand our offerings by adding a paddock for other mounts, but I don't know how difficult that might be to program - especially when considering modded mounts, so no promises.

I might just be having a smooth brain moment but i can not for the life of me figure out how to put a mount into one of the stables.
Also if you searching for ideas, i can suggest you industrial spiked palisades alternative: you can use mix of sandbags, sharpened steel beams and barbed/razor wire.
Drawbridge made from hardlight would be beyound of awesomeness. Something i couldnt ask for but always wanted. You might check quake 1 scourge of armaggond or quake 1 mod alkaline, the derelict freighter in particular as reference. But of course if it says something to you.

@Retsu and @*hearts* Thank you so much for your compliments. We will definitely have sci-fi items coming in the future. I really like the idea proposed by @Dekrosna: a "hardlight" bridge (and other placeable items) - light based like a burning force field. I imagine it igniting and bursting into existence as a spectral beam of light and energy. (Eh... Definitely not like a lightsaber 😅) It's still in the works in my brain. I would love to hear other design ideas as well. But please bear with us and we'll get there together. Thank you, again.

This is perfect, my only complaint is the same as the guy just below me. Industrial and sci-fi era stuff and this would be beyond perfect.
I tried to find something like that for terraria for a long time. Awesome implementation.
I wish there was same thing, but for more industrial/sci-fi builds.

There is a bug. Walls don't show behind the drawbridge when it's upright. when the drawbridge is upright, any walls behind it kind of just... disappear. They're still there, but their sprite isn't visible.
