While i retain that the mod is good for you the question you posted is moot. Microelectronics become needed for mid to late tier DMS content do to the implied advances to the gear and mechs. For the weapons for example they start getting things like laser sights, holo sights, and smart systems for ammo counting and accuracy (Not functionally i mean just thematically) so they need micro elecs. As for the robots you start getting more highly advanced models that require higher grade mats and smarter onboard systems. DMS is made the way it is to be balanced. You are not meant to get everything right away but tier up as you go. The starter mechs are simple hydraulic robots like what we have now, while the mid tiers are more like sci-fi androids and robots that use crap we haven't even invented yet. They are also meant to be precursors to the base game mechanoids. So personally i rock mecha mods as well to keep that fact strong.
