Dokun has a snippet in most of his compression mods about how to reduce the poly account, I'd start there if you were thinking of bringing it down. He's managed to make some game-crashing weapons mods extremely stable

I suspected the textures to be the issue, because after compressing the textures, I also stopped getting crashes. However, now that you mention the polycount, that might be the problem.

Unfortunately I'm still getting crashes. And it's not what I'm used to - the polygon count issue usually comes with an crash message. Instead the client just dies within about a minute of loading the rifle in via command. The model's got such curves to it I sus it is an excess polygon issue.
