@Uniform61 seem that the game engine in missile type works with a limited "Booster-only" phase and never enters the "Sustainer and Inflight phase"

Try this, I have removed the missile sound, however I can't get the sound to stay in flight. I hope it helps...

Needs some adjustment for the cruise sound once in flight. I will keep playing with it.

In your Ammunition Folder, change the settings in the two files to something like this - Note there might be other prop aircraft to choose from other than the P-3C Orion. I was just experimenting.

Radar detection is way to high... they get spotted form 400-500km away - WAY TO MUCH - they are so slow, that they atleast need to be detectet way later lets say 5-10 km away

Good mod! I was about to work on this as next things after missiles. I hope you expand on this to other variants of drones aswell.
