@Serika, I fixed it, I have learned, I feel like oppenheimer, I didn't know I needed normal maps, and I also reverse engineered some stuff, thx for your help too

I could, but I want to learn from this models, I hope I'll eventually see what could be wrong, I am also looking into using VMT editor, but I haven't gotten the hang of it, though it seems it can save me some time

you could always hide a scripted cannon entity inside this one and hide it with welds

@Serika do you know a good tutorial where I can get step by step instruccions on how to make a phong texture? I am sure I didn't make it correctly, I look at other phong textures and they look nothing like mine, I must have messed up something in blender or in VTF edit, I hope I am not bothering you with all this, I just want to make the texture work properly

Yes, I work with them in real time, I found out by accident XD, I am trying the paramateres rn and also trying with a phong texture from an addon I decompiled, to see if that one works

you should try copying and pasting phong parameters from other .vmt files to see if they'll shine better. plus did you know that materials update in real time?

@Serika, I think I made my phong incorrectly, I confused the whiter or darker thing with the $detailblendfactor, but my phong is not doing anything at all, I think I made the phong texture incorrectly, idrk

you could always take some other phong texture and see how it does things

I was able to make a phong map, and played a bit with it, but it didn't make it "shiny" it only made it whiter or darker, but I'll still play with the parameters, maybe I missed something

you should try messing around with phong parameters if you want it to look like how it did in blender.
