So, maybe this is my opinion and what I'm about to suggest will probably take extreme levels of scripts but if you have dual pistols instead of both pistols being "destroyed" after reviving someone with a bullet, one pistol is instead destroyed that way you still have the other pistol, especially if your primary weapon is already dry of ammo.
