Correct it's to do with transparently.
I did test without teeth but she didn't look as creepy.

Oh. It's because the texture for the head is transparent, and the teeth model/textures are showing.

Why does it look like she has the faceapp grin posted on? It looks good, don't get me wrong. It's just a little jarring.
