hi, im not really interacting with the game at all right now. I could give it a look when i actually feel the desire to mod and play this game again but pls don't expect an update in the near future, just completely burned out of this game, no fuel left, lol
The Giant Kings have a bald long bearded head and a long haired head with a short beard.
Could you combine the 2? As in long beard and long hairs? (Not the cyclops one but the braided hairs)

If you're looking into preventing the AI from using the modded pieces, the Age of Fashion mod introduces other categories for optional visual items, and the AI does not use those. Except for giant/eldritch rulers, I think.

As stated in an earlier comment, i will take a look into it but that may take a while since im not really modding right now.
that is not a big problem, i can make them not appear at all on random stuff.
Might take a while until i do some modding again, just have to sit out that brutal heatwave right now lol, brain not really braining in this heat xD

ahh, you are refering to my society trait mod.
yeah thats not a conflict, that is intended, some of these transformations will change even the dragon, giant and/or sovereign eye colors :)
It was a mod conflict but not one I expected lol. Its a feature of a Society Trait that starts your culture as constructs, looking at the Dragon Rulers traits in game they also start as a construct, ultimately affecting the Dragons eyes much like their units to match the transformation of the culture. My bad not use to Dragon Lords getting such transformations that usually effect only their culture units, thank you for the response!
to fix that just pick the eye color you want and safe the ruler before starting the game.
you might have a conflicting mod in your list.
Some or pretty much all eye color mods are kind of outdated, atleast the ones i know and used before :/

no problem with the ui or transformations, which overwrite eye colors.
i even have some space for a bit more eyes if necessary ;)
the problem is, the eye colors are a mesh not just a texture, so to speak.
You pretty much choose a different colored eye model / mesh every time, thats also the reason, why assymetrical eyes are not really a thing.
atleast thats what i understand in my time modding this game :)
the thing, why i can add a boatload of banner colors without the icon bug is, that this icon is completely different, it just shows a colored tile, while the icon from a "snapshot picker" is a freeze frame of the model.
again thats just my understanding here, i have absolutely no idea how the actual coding of these different ui elements are, i could be totally wrong with my assumption though x)
Is it possible to make an overlay for an eye? Like skin dec, but... well... for an eye.
Cause if it is, then you can have a picker for flat/glow color and a picker for an overlay with eye whites and pupils.
Then you can 4x8 of normal colors, 4x8 of glowing colors and miltiply it by 8x8 of various eye types (full color eye, white border no pupil, black border no pupil, white border normal pupil, etc....)

as statet in my earlier comment, it seem, that this ui element, the snapshot picker, has somewhat of a limit, someting arround 8x8 tiles until the icons start to bug out.
that bug is not something bad it just makes the icon go black on random items but it still bugged me and i don't want it in my mod lol
yeah i just deleted my other comment and replaced it with the later, more as ment as update on that situation, since i found that solution later that day after work ;)

the issue is, that the eyecolor ui element can't handle as much so it bugs out at a certain threshold.
The solution is, creating a seperate ui element, similar to the new pfx one for the sovereign, which overwrites the base eye color as you pick a color from it. a pretty neat solution imo
The next update will add a new "exotic eyes" picker, for all leader types and army, except dragon (it will not go over that bug threshold any time soon), under the eye color one, which will house, well.. exotic looking eye colors
And while it sucks, it's not a big deal either.
Cause, if i remember correctly, we had a slider for eyes before and had to memorise where a certain color was.
So let's call it a "throwback to good ol' times"XD
so i have implemented those eye colors and even a little more but man do i hate when the game pulls random sh*t like that.
for what ever reason the eye color selector just randomly decides to not show an icon on some of the colors, even the ones from the base game. maybe it's the amount of the eyes or the game is just dumb. Anyway that just shows how unoptimized the game is, and i love the game alot, but i have absolutely no idea anymore and quite frankly, i think i rather play AoW3 or some other stuff right now lol
do you mean a true yellow color or a robe, that just uses that one color?
i just have to warn, that i can't make entire new stuff, i just can use what the game provides, when it comes to models / meshes :)
they will both look the same, at least from my undestanding the is no way to make assymetrical one yet.
I honestly don't think there is a lot more of them that would be needed.
Except for maybe assymetrical eyes, like left blue/right blind.
I'm just not sure if it can be done without additional modding.

making an eyecolor is actually the easiest thing in all of this x)
you can make even a screenshot an eyecolor, as long as it's a png file, no need to make it a texture file (tga) even

i made color swapped versions of the entire set, helmet, shoulder and outfit.
for the outfit and shoulder, since they use armor color, the only thing i wanted different colors of was the gemstoes on them.
they may look the same at first but they have different gems, like sapphire, ruby, emerald etc. ;)
