Possibly a mod conflict. Disable all mods except this one and check.
Alternatively, you can move this mod to the top of the "Subscribed" modlist in the in-game "Workshop" menu.
I plan to do that. I added them to the coll using a mobile app, which for some reason doesn't allow moving them

I would like to. As for the combine textures, I have a slightly modified beta textures for personal use, since they fit nicely. I may try to publish them, but I don't really know who should I credit, besides Valve of course
